I get VERY mean. There have also been more than a few situations where someone who really needed help was stranded and cold for an entire day because I was trying to get to someone who did it on purpose, or I’ve missed good paying heavy tow jobs because someone got fake stuck so they could be on KZbin. I don’t fake anything on this channel, and I’m not going to let anyone else take anything here either.

Thank you for lecture on airing down tires. It is a great technique to use in a pinch to increase the surface area of a tires contact patch and I have used this technique for years. But people that don't understand the additional stress this puts on tires at higher speed should not be eager to use this method for extra traction. And I agree, don't air down the tires on a fellow motorist's car because they are more than likely one of the people that don't understand this technique.

I dont think it's an issue with the tracks, rather its the 4WD system on the Jeep. If the 4 wheels were locked I don't think it would happen as the track would have been pulling at the same rate. it seemed that track lost drive and ended up being pushed against the obstacle instead of pulling itself over it.

That is the first time I've seen your tracks try to roll like that; at least they didn't appear to damage the ZJ. Seems like I remember with the heavier tracks you had a different Jeep that seemed to struggle a bit. Then there was a video in which some older tracks you had got clogged with snow and you had to turn around and go back until the snow melted a few weeks later. Seems like with the lighter tracks, this Jeep does cruise along on the pavement and doesn't struggle as much. Your commentary is the reason I continue to watch. GREAT VIDEO!

As for the tracks, I think you are right in your thought that it might be better for the center of the track being further forward from the center of the axle. That would help the track to rise over things. Nothing you can do about it, but might be worth talking to the mfg’r about it. It will be interest as to what you come up with for a rotation limiter. I wonder if a torsion bar system you fabricate could connect to the back pivot point on each side. If one of the tracks started to go down in front, the back pivot would rise and the torsion bar twist against the other end mounted to the bottom of your frame or unibody. That would be a smooth force that got stronger the more the torsion bar twists. Old VWs used torsion bars and splined sockets for the ends of the bars, if you wanted some junkyard parts to experiment with.
