Happened to me back in 2007 trying to get out of Kodiak, AK. Fog....fog...and more fog. But only at the end of the runway. Over the airport was clear. The next day the brought in the 'jet' (normally it was prop service) and we got out...and missed every one of our connections down to southern california. Bad end to a good trip.
