Strange said 6 weeks til mine is in my garage. I can’t wait! I’ve heard nothing but good things about this rear end
@FireballMullet2 жыл бұрын
Awesome, that is about how long I had to wait I think. I’d recommend the powder coat if you haven’t done that.
@k-dizz25202 жыл бұрын
@@FireballMullet yep, ordered the powder coat. Ive also seen and heard of the issue you had with the spring perch holes so I sent them the outside diameter specs of my ground control base/adjusters and asked if they can open up the holes in the spring perch. We’ll see

You got an awesome Iroc z brotha. I've been watching your channel to try and get ideas on my build. Are you selling any of your parts your removing?
@FireballMullet2 жыл бұрын
Thanks man, I appreciate you watching! For the most part no, but I may sell the 9 bolt cover… it’s the TA Hawks cover that helps strengthen it.

Great setup!! I’m in the process of getting mine. Who did you go with and what Torque arm did you have to use?

Just wondering if you were going to hold on to the old rear end or were you considering selling it to one of your subscribers?
@FireballMullet2 жыл бұрын
I would but honestly the 9 bolt needs to be rebuilt and they are pricey and not really worth it IMO
@coderedcamaro48122 жыл бұрын
It's the little things like the brake tabs and union that really shows the attention to detail. Great looking set up!!!

The thing I took from this is the major difference in diameter of the chrome-molly driveshaft vers the OEM aluminum one. Can you tell me that difference, as well as the two actual diameter numbers? With our cars, the limited space for exhaust alongside the driveshaft is a bear, this may be very helpful. Thanks
@FireballMullet2 жыл бұрын
It’s the camera angle, but I also thought that looking at it side by side, but they are the same diameter.

@@FireballMullet WOW! good thing I asked, I never would have guessed that, Thanks!
@FireballMullet2 жыл бұрын
@@davebarron5939 no problem, ask PST or Strange (whoever you buy from) what diameter it is, they make them different options

Im told the Treme TKX and Ford 9" with long yoke is a direct fit for our factory driveshafts using a conversion u joint.. Anyone know if that is correct?
@FireballMullet2 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure but hopefully someone knows and will respond.
@mbhftw2 жыл бұрын
what are your wheel specs. Im probably going the Strange route and now Im wondering if I should narrow the rear as well.
@FireballMullet2 жыл бұрын
Honestly I’d say measure the setup, this ended up being similar if I had done 6.75” backspace on 18x10”

Why not go with disc brakes on the rear?

It is, that was the emergency brake that goes under the rotor
