My coparent clocked Robin in a microsecond and was very worried about how Steve would react. It took all my willpower not to say anything. But they cried very happy tears when the bathroom scene happened.

I love the moments when Steve suddenly grows by leaps and bounds. When he dumps his "friends" in Season 1. When he knocks on the Byers' door and plummets straight out of the B plot into the deep end, then 5 minutes later he's twirling a bat around as he battles a demogorgon. But my favorite has to be the bathroom scene with Robin.

They couldn’t use the car because the monster was coming up the only road in or out of the cabin..flashlights back then had 2 large D size batteries, not the smaller ones Dustin needed. In defense of them leaning on all the surfaces of the bathroom, the mall was brand new..hadn’t had time to get super gross yet. The Zipper carnival ride, looks like a capsule shape with two person cages that spin independently and also rotate around the ellipse, and then the whole ellipse spins around (up and down) is the single most terrifying ride, you are spinning around head over heels and then being flung at high speed down towards the parking lot..when your cage reaches the end of the capsule and the end of the ellipse your on is heading to the ground is complete nightmare material..

18:24 Oh there was plenty of nostalgia in the first two seasons as well. But it was more for the culture in the early 80s. Where as in this season they're starting to dip into the mid to late 80s culture that also bled into the early 90s. I'm guessing you were both born in the 90s so its starting to feel more familiar to you. But trust me, if you were a little older, the first two seasons would have felt just as nostalgic to you. They really nailed the clothes, interior design, cars, etc. And there were so many shots that almost mirrored scenes in early 80s films. For example, there's about 5 or 6 (or more) shots from the first season that feel like they were directly pulled from E.T.

Yeah for me while literally playing BTTF on the screen is an obvious (and excellent) 80s reference, the show was already at peak nostalgia level with the E.T. vibes, especially whenever they're on bikes running from the Government with a psychic individual in their care.

What is probably my earliest memory is from a fireworks show. I must have been 2 or 3 since dad had picked me up and was holding me. One went off and lit up the sky, and there was a cloud that looked just like a dragon. The flash showed it, then the dark hid it. Scared me silly thinking there was a giant dragon out there in the sky and nobody saw it but me.

Sooo drive towards it and hope you run it over? Or into the forest and hope you dont run into a tree?? Or just straight up run through the cabin first and make the monster think youre in the cabin but you ran off into the forest on foot, until what!?? You get tired or you get to another building and the monster tries to eat you while inside said building you just entered?? 😅 Lmao im not even sure they even thought it through.. get in the car and go where !?
