The way this season handles Billy is just emotional. This episode teases just how much he feels remorse for what has happened. That moment before the Mind Flayer takes over feels genuine.

That whole Eleven and Billy fight was intense and had beautiful acting by both Millie Bobby Brown and Dacre Montgomery. It was terrifying to see Eleven get physically taken down like that by Billy.

I really liked the fact that they already showed us the mind flayer is strong enough to win against eleven because that makes him a way more legit threat !

Except that isn't the Mindflayer, it's a piece of the Mindflayer that was trapped on our side. The Mindflayer is still in the Upside Down and whilst the link is open it can influence our side. If it's that strong using a surrogate, imagine how strong it really is.

@@KC-py5vq if they just gonna close all the gates to the upside down it means that they actually gonna lose right?! Because, the Mindflayer will still exist and the upside down will exist as well. And eleven is not immortal, she's gonna die out of all age eventually. And when that happens, If the Mindflayer will somehow find the way to open the gates back again, then humanity is doomed basically. Because there is no protection and that makes me sad. The last 10 minutes of this episode had me shook. It really made you think that there is something that could possibly defeat El and I was pretty worried for her this scene. That last scene..just wow. The way Billy looks at Max like “I’m sorry” and then goes right into choking El. The way they start screaming at each other gave me chills. And I’m glad you brought up the shot where El falls into Mikes arms after the exhausting experience. You’re right, the writing this season is incredible.

I love that you guys brought this up, both billy and eleven's dynamic this season is so explosive. It actually allowed me to see something that I never thought I would be able to see on this show. A (mostly) human antagonist that can go toe to toe with eleven in battle, it's so impressive to watch dacre and millie this season even at episode 4.

They drink the chemicals to get the human body to certain acidity level so they can merge with the mindflayer. This season is so well written. It was non-stop. Not a dull moment. I had planned to just watch the first episode at midnight when it came out...I ended up watching the whole season. Didnt go to bed until 8am.

Noob and David disagree. Last season she closed The Gate which as established this season takes billions of volts of electricity to open. And she was the one who opened the portal in the first place. The amount of power it would take to do those things is probably much more than throwing someone through a brick wall.

my favorite thing about this episode is during the sauna scene el actually collapsed into mike's arms and began crying due to how hard she had work on this scene, mike looks at the camera guys and they just kept rolling with it. beyond incredible. millie is such an amazing actress 💓

eleven falling in mikes arms was not planned while shooting, Millie said in one interview, that, she was so exhausted while shooting, that she fell in finns arms, but others didn't knew about this, and they continued filming for a couple of seconds more..., she said that they were laughing after this happened but i think they're definitely hiding what were the reactions behind the scenes

Season 3 is sooo much better than season 2 by far this episode is one of my favorites the acting was top notched, the ending of season 3 felt like a series finale and Netflix has yet to renew it for season 4 so this could be a good farewell.

Millie Bobby Brown the actress that plays Eleven she wasn't actually meant to fall into Mike's arms after she threw Billy into the wall but because of how many shots they had to do and from all the screamimg/yelling she got really exhausted and she automatically fell so Finn Wolfhard the guy that plays Mike had to improvise and catch Eleven so that she didn't fall/pass out from exhaustion
