Will is my guess. The story started with him, it would be devastatingly poetic if it ends with him.

But we learned in season 4 that technically it started with El. Not the show exactly, but the trigger for the plot. I think that Will might be overtaken by Vecna and it will be similar to season 1 where Mike, Lucas, Dustin, and El are in a group trying to save him again. I don’t really think he will die, because I think that El will die, but it is possible.

Steve will definitely die. There are many theories leading up to why. The Duffers originally wanted to kill off Steve in S1 but they decided not to after they realized how greatly Joe Keery portrayed the role. This would make total sense for them to kill Steve in S5 as he was originally intended to be temporary. We also see how Steve is still attached to Nancy deeply. It wouldn’t make sense to have that unnecessary tension, especially when Jonathan and Nancy are happily together. Also notice how Steve’s parents are never featured in any of the seasons, which is pretty bizarre, considering he does have a family, and that all the other character’s families have been in the show. Steve is more than willing to sacrifice himself among anyone else in the group. This character arc Steve has created will lead to a righteous death where I imagine he attempts to protect either Nancy or the kids and gets killed.

-Killing Joice would be cruel since she had a Hell of a lot of problems with Will -Killing Steve, Nancy or/and Jonathan wouldn't be amazing since we wouldn't really get to see the end of that "love triangle" -Killing one of the OG boys would be pretty cruel aswell, plus the writers already said killing Mike would be "too depressive" (Also if Dustin dies I die) -Killing Mr. Clarke would be a crime against humanity -Killing Eleven wouldn't be so shocking since she already sacrificed herself in Season 1 -Killing Max isn't likely since she was in coma in Season 4's ending, and people that are in coma after some battle in movies never usually die for some reason -Killing Hopper wouldn't be fair since he's one of the most important people in the Series and it would be pretty dumb if he died after his amazing survival from Season 3. Predictions - Will realises he will forever be connected to the upside down thus meaning when it is destroyed, it destroys him, but he accepts it. I think he'll tell mike how he feels, and he'll sacrifice himself so the upside down can ultimately end, he'll ask el to close the gate and he'll use his true sight to take some influence of the mindflayer and both close the gate, however eleven must close it with will inside - Steve will live, baited too much, and with Eddie dying, the trauma will be too much for Dustin - Jancy & Stancy love triangle re opening. Nancy will never make the choice with both alive, jonathan will die saving nancy, joyce, will, possibly steve if he realises nancy still loves him. Or vecnas vision will come true and Nancy will try to break the curse but will die doing so. - Mike and Eleven endgame unless one dies. They make the most sense, story wise.

Linda Hamilton was cast, so that would rule out Duffers promise to kill off new people…but what if her character isn’t new? The show is based off the Montauk project, and if you research more, there’s a theory that suggests multiple worlds/ ie multiverses. In season one, eleven created a wormhole that causes the frozen upside down. So, I think the death will be Eleven. Linda Hamilton as Eleven from a different universe that travels to Hawkins to fix the Upside Down/the world/ multiverses

Here are my theories: - El will die sacrificing herself to save Will just like at the end of season 1, and that could be because Will might be overtaken or captured by Vecna again. The Duffers have said season 5 will be similar to season 1 and also some of the characters have gone back to season 1 looks in their style and hair. This could also mean a “goodbye Mike” but for good this time, and if so he might say “goodbye El” and I’ll probably die inside but moving on. - Dustin will die also sacrificing himself for Steve before Steve is dying but like he said, “you die, I die” and so Dustin will die because he doesn’t want to loose another dad figure he looks up to. - Karen Wheeler might possibly die near the more beginning of the season and tell Mike or Nancy the truth if she is possibly related to Vecna. Mike will also be devastated and maybe clean up his character. I doubt anyone will read this but if you do, then let me know what you think and check out my edits if you’d like 😁

Ok, so I think that they will be killing off Mike in the second to last episode. The reason for that is that in the last episode, Vecna will kill Mike in front of El, and that'll be the end of the episode. After that, El will have so much emotion that she lost her boyfriend, that she will have the power to 1v1 Vecna. Also, I hope this isn't true, but the picture of the bloody shoe is Steve's Nike shoe. I think that Steve will be able to win over Nancy, and once they have this lovely moment together, Steve will die by something. Also, I hope that Will will have some 6th sense to locate Vecana so that the group can kill him. I also have a theory that Vecana will survive by some miracle from El's attack, and Will will kill Vecana like he stripped him from his home. Or haft to sacrifice himself to end all the suffering. It would be really said if they played. Should I stay, or should I go, if Will does sacrifices himself. Those are my theories for Season 5!

There’s definitely some sort of time travel component to this season. There has to be a reason for the wheel of time being present *and* the upside down being locked in time. I believe this show is going to start and end with will if that makes sense sort of like in lost the story starts and ends with jack. I think should I stay or will I go might also be important to the plot. Love what you said about showing how will was taken in the first place

I don't think killing Eleven is a good thing. She was already "killed" in Season 1's finale, so having her sacrifice herself AGAIN wouldn't be so shocking. Remember DBZ, where every character died 3 times and got revived with 0 problems? I don't want a situation like that one happening. And by the way, I know that a lot of people want Will to die since it would be "poetic", but it would kinda ruin Season 1. The whole plot was "let's find and save Will", so imagine if it was all... Useless, in the end. But yeah idk

You forgot to mention Charlie Heaton and Natalia Dyer. I saw them in the photo so hopefully they are returning. I read A Wrinkle in Time when I was in the 3rd or 4th grade. It was one of my favorite Sci Fi books at the time but it was very simple and not much of a plot to it other than what you mentioned.

To be honest, I don’t think max will die. If they kill her in season 5 they have to make a lot out of it or else it would have been more fitting for her to die when vecna snapped her bones and if she would die take her eyes. It would be way more emotional if she died at the end of season 4 instead of in a hospital bed. So if she’s dying in season 5 it has to be a lot

Facts people --- Mike said i love you already in season 3 just not to her face; he had accidentally said it in front of everyone in season 3 b/c they were being to reckless with el's powers; and then she alludes to at the end of the season that max said something and like a nervous boy does... he freezes and trips over his words and she says I love you too and winces walking out the door b/c is so in love. SO to everyone saying mike is going to say it before he dies your dumb(but not far off); duffer bros said in a interview in like season 2 that we love our characters, like after season 2 they literally said if we killed Mike that would just be pointless and disappointing; he is the party leader he is the one that every single character looks to when they become doubtful. and the only reason he said it in the pizza dough freezer is because argyle interrupted him and her with pizza; Johnathan is for sure dead --- he has been lying to Nancy indirectly then when she obviously sets him up when they are nailing the board in he lies to her face; now Steve has surpassed him because he has grown. lso has anyone realized mike is the only character that hasn't entered the upside down? best for last --- he will narrow death giving el the power to finish off vecna's new HOST; but as someone else in another video says is that there is something in d&d lore that is similar to horcruxes in harry potter; I do not want to jump the gun but I am betting one is Will -- who may or may not turn evil; Another thing nobody has said is that Sadie sink is making the same as the others 7 million dollars; she is going to have a full roll even if it is from the hospital bed; I think an easter egg was el making her heart beat again which would be fitting to the current theme of Vecna being able to consume his victims everything they were, are, or will be; but she is a (has had her sole stolen from vecna in which case either he uses somehow to put in linda Hamilton (swapping places kate bush "if i could make a deal with god then I would swap places) who is back in d&d lore the one who finishes off vecna by betraying him; or somehow having been apart of both vecna's influence and el's new life saving power (which is why mike may die in part 1 but it wont be permadeath) it'll just be the catalyst to do the second hardest thing which is killing Will --- but will is not that close to El they have a joining rooms and do not know what the other is thinking--- el probably doesn't even know he likes dudes yet; now time is definitely going to play into this because of the clocks and henry literally calls time the true evil: construct made by man that wake up, eat, come home, dinner, bed, repeat; so when he reinvents the world time will not exist just like in the Hawkins he loved in the upside down; someone asked how vecna will get up to the surface; you should just shhhh.. and re watch the show because it doesnt sound like you have or you yourself are blind because it is indistinguishable at this point not to mention there are four gates that have all ajoined in what from a birdseye view is an X on top of hawkins where shit will just start coming out of; another scenario is when max wakes up she will have a little bit of el's powers and a little bit of vecna's a giving El a chance to which again will not be enough until she remembers mike; Mike is only person she cares enough about to have 100% power--- Watching max die wasn't enough to resist vecnas grasp--- nor her moms memory's--- but Mike means so much to her that even outside of the deprivation tank she escapes his vines which you know drained half battery and still through him like a rag doll in his own house; and she holds his best memories easter egg in season 4 already showed us but can give life and turn the heart back on --- and though she falls short temporarily for cliffhangers sake in Max's situation; Mike said he felt like his life started the day he found her in the woods wearing the benny burgers shirt. I think he will die to make us shit our pants and el will give away her power by doing her grandest feat yet! bringing the only true love she has back; no matter what I do not think the kids will be in the coms room or the backseat any longer they actually have imposed the logic to the adults on how to resolve every season; so this time; time jump or no they are going to realize they must tread lightly... temper action with wisdom because similar to a 20 sided die they have terrible odds ATM; Murray is an easy kill --- Robin another(but why bring Vicky back it doesn't tug my heart strings if they die in each others arms they merely flirted 1 time making PBJ's) they may die together but lets face it (don't kill me) but lets face it Robin is a filler character for Steve to stay in the show and it just so happened to be when all the lgbtq stuff popped up) so it was a good PR move for the show. Just like an interracial couple in max and Mclaughlin --- although that I do not think was politically motivated but just sort of made sense they were a fun couple to watch and a one off in 80's culture which is why Billy advised her to stay away from him because his father would've been very racist; Dustin wont die --- he has a disability and he will likely be calling the shots on half the matters where Mike ultimately is the one to say what goes; I don't think Johnathan and Nancy end together they do love each other but they are both too type A and the aforementioned lying; Nancy's first love was Steve he was just a dick but now he has changed. in the woods before Robin interrupted she was at a loss for words because she feels that way but her and Johnathan have so much invested already but once she finds out about the lie that was super petty-- he is gone. if the duffer brothers are as big of a fur burger as everyone says then it will somehow end with Joyce not losing will because we've done that twice; Hopper has already died; I think Mike will die temporarily as Nancy saw but has yet to tell El; but will be able to bring him back because his life started with her (she has good memories with max but not enough to fill her soul and bring it to life half of it is in vecna; once vecna is dead; or he makes mike/sadie the right hand mand through brainwash but this time El is the heart and is able to point out this fact and get him to turn on vecna because love conquers all evil. WIll doesn't feel like he belongs anyway so assuming he is unable to exist the way he is similar to henry he will either sacrifice himself or force the party to kill him after he fireballs vecna stunning him long enough to convince whomever that he must kill will to finish it. I.E - Will the wise. Or this would be super wack but erica could kill vecna somehow because there is a correlation between the campaign at beginning of the season and the final episode. i.e. - eddieye brings back vecna with one engs anyway so assuming he is unable to exist the way he is similar to henry he will either sacrifice himself or force the party to kill him after he fireballs vecna stunning him long enough to convince whomever that he must kill will to finish it. I've seen some theories about time travel as back to the future stuff has been seen. I think Eleven will sacrifice herself but not in a death way. If it does involve time travel, she'll go back and stop herself from creating the upside down, essentially sacrificing her whole life outside the lab and going back to it. They could do a fakeout where she wakes up still out and with her friends. Maybe less of a theory and more just a fun idea lol

I think either hopper will always have that depression over his real daughter dying and feel like he's cursed and sacrifice himself especially if 11 dies. Or thinking the whole byers clan will go. I think Nancy will fall for steve again and Jonathan will catch them making out or something and it will drive him to sacrificing himself,then Joyce won't be able to handle it and go as well then it will end with Will ending Vecna and having to sacrifice himself in the end which after losing his mom and brother is what he wants and he will go out as the hero. Steve may die saving the kids finally or maybe Dustin sacrifices himself to save steve. And I think they may kill off lucus.
