Dr Finkelstein has the wit (in every meanings of the word) of a sharp intellect and the directness/fearlessness/integrity of a cowboy. Bertrand Russell/Noam Chomsky paired with Dirty Harry or a character played by John Wayne. The streets of his childhood and the halls of academia. A couple of errors in the subtitles: Not '50th Avenue' but '16th Avenue'. Not 'Brookly college' but 'Brooklyn College'. Not 'there were some quite elites' but 'but it was quite a leap'. Not 'or insult you in (?)' but 'or insult your intelligence'. Not 'Raul Zulberg' but 'Raul Hilberg'. Not 'you shifted that' but 'you twisted that'. Not 'then you succede with an investigation' but 'then you proceed with an investigation'. Even so, thank you very much for this. It proves Dr Finkelstein to be even more heroic than I thought. As for what it says about Dr Dershowitz...

Dersh ruined Finkelstein's career, making sure he never got work as an academic, and he had the clout to do that. these days D's more and more marginalised and with more independent media its easier to get Finkelsteins point of view on the issue, would love to see him get tenure somewhere as well

NF has the deep well of courage born out of a knowledge of the truth in this matter.There are lessons for the many of us that have been long suffering for some injustice - We have imagined that we might meet the agent of our suffering and torment in just this kind of situation and in our imaginings corrected a wrong and won some morsel of vindication.Most of us will have blanched and avoided such a confrontation,lacking the strength and conviction needed in order to win through.That NF has had to endure such an unspeakable slur against his Mothers good name and in the most appalling circumstances imaginable,is tastelessness in the extreme.The vile Dershowitz will sink to lows that only he could become accustomed to and deserves the epithet shyster lawyer,a long standing characterisation of him,familiar to many.In truth,words really do fall short at such a disgraceful smear.
