The FSB thought that? Escaped to Belarus? Is that why they waited hour and a half before going there to help, to give them time to escape? Not to mention some of them being among the public at the concert and later seen arresting the perpetrators.

..."There are no rational explanations for why patriots, which are plentiful around the world, are still not covering the skies of Kharkiv and other cities"...This seems like an unreasonable and misplaced expectation from Zelensky. Why should nations surrender their air defense systems to Ukraine, exposing themselves to external threats? This conflict was initiated by Zelensky's decisions, and he should address its consequences without involving the global community.

On one hand we're training Ukrainians, on the other, Ukraine is having to tell us what they are short of. Why don't we already know what they need for a country of their geography if we're knowledgeable enough to train them in warfare?

The problem with Macron's statement is that it comes after a long string of "escalatory" actions (if one considers them such), which did not lead to a successful counter-offensive by the Ukrainian forces. At each stage, the West up the military gamble. So, this comment about boots on the ground, seems to come not as a strategic forethought but as a desperate scream of the fear of failure. There is no "ambiguity" when you've already done everything else! Once you start saying it, you will find yourself forced to do it.
