Tips for Ottomans: 1) Do not leave Medina empty! Should Arab revolt happen (you can prevent it with garrisons but it requires you to recruit a few detachments and keep them in Arabia, press "P" to see where they spawn) they'll target Medina, and the fall of which will affect Ottoman morale. 2) It's more beneficial if you entrench at the Suez canal than the Sinai border. Better defensive terrain, good supply with an HQ at El Arish and of course the possibility of an invasion of Egypt later on. You invade especially when Senussi revolt happens. Also consider moving von Sanders HQ to Palestine as well. 3) Same for Iraq. Push hard for Kuwait and Basra and you can kick the Brits out before they get too powerful. Don't bother with defending. I usually divert a cavalry corps from the Caucasus and an infantry corps from Istanbul area to do the job. 3) Caucasus is the place where things get trickier imho. Russians will get reinforcements of all kinds a bit later, including heavy bombers and artillery. I usually stay on the defensive there but it's your call. 4) Allies may or may not try to pull a Gallipoli but even if they do, they are doomed to fail. Just make sure you keep a corps or two in the general vicinity of Constantinople. If Bulgaria enters, they have no chance.

And don't you also cut the Suez if you end up next to there? That would be especially dangerous for the British. Also, about point number four, an Asian Gallipoli would be perhaps worse, where there are more cities and the coast is longer. I've actually seen a youtuber get stuck in that position, and it was not good. Would eliminating Greece be a good idea as well?

@@jevinliu4658 In my games, Greece have always joined the Entente by late 1915. But they do not have much to offer in terms of resistance (just 3 corps at best) and it is possible to knock Greece out of the war using just Bulgarians + spare Austrians after the conquest of Serbia. I've always managed to do so in 1916 at latest. As for an Asian Gallipoli, I think you should be able to handle that as well with 3 or 4 corps. Keep in mind that Bulgaria is controlled by Germany and they benefit from German tech, meaning they have pretty powerful units. I usually entrust the defense of the Balkans to them after they join.

@@K_Kara Reasonable, that's what the Axis did historically. Just keep Romania out of the war before Greek resistance is mopped up, or otherwise the Entente would be in Cosntantinople and Sofia before you know it.

HQs generate supply based on the supply level of the hex they're in. If the hex has a supply of 6 or higher, the HQ will generate 10. HQ placement will be super important in Russia and all the Ottoman theaters, since unit reinforcement depends on supply.

@@TortugaPower Happy to help! There are other breakpoints- at 0, 3, 4, or 5 an HQ generates 3, 5, 6, or 8. You can chain HQs together too, but if you have HQs to spare, you're probably already winning.

Afaik the cvl has 2 modes (similar to sub’s silent/hunt). You can toggle between recon and attack (or something similar) which decides how the seaplane is used. The seaplane has a decent range and can bomb ships for the occasional hit. Side note: production tech doesn’t seem that great unless you’re planning on purchasing A LOT of units. The initial investment is 75mpp and you only get 5% off. Which means you need to spend like 1500mpp to break even or something.

The reason that in the diplomacy screen italy and usa have their own flag/icon is simply because when they join a faction they become their own major country (own research).

With the Ottomans you also want a unit positioned on the other side of the strait from Gallipoli.

@@TortugaPower Yes, I saw a let's play where the French landed near or in Chanak, which is actually historical, however not much came of it historically as the main thrust was redirected to Gallipoli. However, in game a unit there may wreak havock. However with the French on the ropes as they are who knows what may happen, though as a scripted event the troops probably spawn in automatically.

@@TortugaPower as chrekya said the French invaded the Asian/Anatolian side of the Dardanelles irl while the British and ANZACs landed in Gallipoli.

@@TortugaPower Yep, main Central Powers offensive on the eastern front in 1915. The Russian lines collapsed and Stavka was forced to order a withdrawal from Poland.
