I like the egg step. I've seen most derms say you only need to use one retinoid and not two because more is not better. I've also seen another skincare creator say they didn't do an SPF in their line because there are so many good ones out there already. Not all brands have to try and provide everything.

I have Interface, liquid gold, rewind, and their milk cleanser. The liquid gold is very rich so I’ll largely be saving that for our Alaskan cold season. I’m enjoying the other three currently! Oh, and their Nightshift is the very first retinol I’ve ever used on my face and décolleté I’m still on the once/weekly rotation but so far, so good. Also have Fortify but I’m never sure where to fit an oil into my routine.

I was trying to think of another brand (not skincare item but entire line or brand) that I like more than Stratia and I couldn't think of one. A couple that were almost ties but none better. So maybe it's my....very favorite! 😮 In any case, love, love them and I love the egg. I saw an alternate version of the egg on Reddit where you put a couple drops of Fortify onto your interface blob before adding the LQ "yolk". I like that version best. I'm loving these re-reviews! And I know I've asked before but I'm still gunning for a Drunk Elephant re-review! I've gone through so much with that brand. Disinterest because of the trendiness to interest to trying a few things and loving them to scouring the earth for dupes because $$ to dropping them entirely on principle for being assholes and I always end up at the same place: they have a good 4 or 5 products that are *excellent*....like among my favorites, and I kinda wish it wasn't so. But it is. What's a girl to do? 🤷‍♀️

See it’s so funny to read that because that’s kind of me and Perricone MD. I looove cold plasma, but I don’t want to (because it doesn’t have to cost that much, and they’re super unhelpful in their communication). And I keep swearing it off and then repurchasing it in the end lol. I wonder if everyone has a brand/product like that! I do like DE though, but - I think I might be repeating myself actually, apologies if I am - the internet did get REALLY weird towards them for a bit! It made it hard to be over here going, “errr don’t all brands have weird marketing stuff?” Idk, it was really a time. But I can never deny that their products worked well for me!

Have tried Liquid Gold, Rewind, Fortify, Interface and the Velvet Cleansing Milk. I've repurchased all many times. I can't wait to try the Soft Touch AHA. I love this brand, they do so much research and yes, are so affordable. I was so afraid to use DMAE, I emailed the company, they got right back to me and I've been using it twice daily. I'll also add a few drops of Fortify to the Liquid Gold. This was the first oil I've tried and I'm in love. Thank you and many blessings! 💖💖💖

Love the vid.❤ Stratia might just be the BEST brand ever! At this point, I think I have actually tried all of their products but interface and Night Shift...and I have unopened bottles of those sitting on my shelf right now!😆 Honestly, I think their Vitamin C is my new fave. My skin is getting increasingly sensitive to low pH serums, so the fact that they use volatile silicones with a low ascorbic acid concentration (plus a derivative) is EXACTLY what my skin needs! Liquid Gold will probably never leave my routine. Absolutely the perfect barrier supporting serum for me. Their AHA and Rewind serum were...nice. I just think I'm better off without an AHA these days (low pH, and serious overkill when I already have BHA, adapalene, and azelaic acid in rotation). Rewind just didn't do enough to replace my previous go-to hydrators. I loved their oil, but not quite enough to pay more for it than for plain rosehip seed oil from the ordinary.

Though I live in Chicago where it's cold (to me, someone born and raised in Arkansas) most of the year, I love a warm apartment. I'm lucky my landlord keeps the place cozy (75+ when the radiator heat is going, btw, radiator is the superior heat in my book) when it's cold outside. In the summer I generally go without an AC. It's so cold most of the year, I want all the warmth.

Oh you are indeed lucky! I have to settle for about 68 in the winter months just to keep costs low (our house isn’t well insulated unfortunately 😔) I haven’t heard the word radiator in years, but I do agree. It’s always wild to me when we turn the heat on and it blows downwards from the ceiling. I…what? Bizarre lol.

America is such a strange place to me. Living in India, we have separate air conditioning in every room. How can everyone in house be expected to live in the same room temperatures? My mom is going through menopause and requires a fan at full speed 24/7, my dad is thin and feels cold often, i feel cold too and my brother goes to the gym and requires a cooler room but not as much as my mom. Lmao. All my friends living in the states complain about the temperature all the time. Idk what's the novelty in living in America where the health care and education is so freaking expensive,the taxes are so highhh, prices of everything are rising by the day, on top of that you are expected to adjust to your 4 roommate's temperature requirements.

Haha honestly most of us would very much agree with some gripes about the country!! If you mention “US health care” in a group of people, several folks will start groaning, others will grumble, and absolutely nobody will tell you it’s great. It’s a hot mess and we all know it 🤐 Also, that does make sense with the AC. Probably less expensive to maintain/fix issues too. Our internal AC system is absurdly high maintenance and constantly has problems. I’m not sure why we do it this way tbh!

@AliceintheRabbitHole
@AliceintheRabbitHole Жыл бұрын
I read through the safety data (annoyingly as I hate reading animal studies), and my conclusion is: I wouldn’t recommend eating it. The rats that did unfortunately did not fare well. 😞 However, topically, it’s surprising effective at very low concentrations as a preservative without being a skin irritant (to rats and humans too!) As always, it’s important for companies to use it at the right concentrations, but that’s something I trust Stratia to get right - and why I love my science-oriented brands! 😃

I only wait before applying actives, otherwise I layer fairly quickly. Layering fast will increase absorption, which is good for antioxidants/humectants/etc. but with actives that can be sensitizing (or problematic with pH-dependent ingredients such as AHA/L-AA). Hope that helps!

Does preferred house temperature correlate with skin type? I like it cool-69-72-year round and I have ‘normal’ skin (used to be oily). But I’m also in that phase of life when my brain says out of nowhere’Dear god, why is it suddenly like a volcano in here?!?’ Your kombucha/kimchi must thrive in your house. :) Although this line is probably too hydrating for me, it reminds me of the Canadian brand Regimen Labs in their no-nonsense scientific approach. Sigh, every day that I read about book banning or other nonsense in FL, I know you’re feeling it too. Hugs.

Yep they say it firms, which is a word I’m usually hesitant of in skincare. But with DMAE, there may be some validity to it. It’s quite an intriguing ingredient as it’s a precursor to acetylcholine. I can’t recall if I linked studies when talking about it in my perricone video, but here’s an overview: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15675889/ That plus niacinamide, n-acetyl glucosamine, and some nice plant extracts makes for a phenomenal blend for overall anti-aging purposes 😃

Can you compare the milk cleanser from stratia vs yam line. I’m on the hunt for a good milky cleanser. I have the BYBI one (not enjoying), and then have Kate S goat milk to try out. X

@@sharonharris9782 - the packaging is wrong. I have to leave it upside down. Also I think you could dispense less in a pump bottle than the tube that I have. Because so much comes out it feels very foamy. I only use as a second cleanser (after oil) so can’t comment on it taking off make up. But main positive- not drying at all.

Haha yep. I have similar thoughts about living in the north. I have to always carefully plan my vacations for July/August haha (and the summer nights still get chilly up north, I was not prepared for that!!)

I heard the new Neogen high R exsome cream was amazing peptides all kind of good stuff no frangerance essential oil and like 20$. I went to order the peptide cream from stratia like a month ago but it was out of stock the rewind serum was in the order to but I ended up not ordering cause I really wanted that cream so I decided to wait still haven't tried stratia yet.

Does anyone find the smell of liquid gold off putting? My husband can’t stand the smell of it on my skin!

I’ve seen a few people say that!! I vaguely remember not liking it at first, but I think the results have been SO good that the smell is now mentally associated with…good skin. In my mind. 🤐

Primarily having the heater go up to a heat of 78 is extremely wasteful. If your house is naturally that warm and that's someone's liking I understand but putting on the heater to such a degree is..bizarre to me. In my country it's actively encouraged and promoted to not put your heater up to anything above 68. Just...wear a sweater.

Oh yes I do agree! 78 is actually running the AC at a bare minimum here (well, for now. It gets to about 94-95 in August, when it’s really hard to keep our bills down!)

🤣🤣 yes we have a middle ground here as well (so funny how it’s always a couple of degrees). 76 is the shared comfortable temperature, but I’ll turn off the AC when it’s just me haha

Would it be naive to assume that because Stratia makes all of their products in house that they may be the reason costs are kept so low?
@AliceintheRabbitHole
@AliceintheRabbitHole Жыл бұрын
That would make sense, but it actually costs more for companies to produce their products in the US! It’s far less costly to have it made elsewhere (which is why a lot of mass marketed products are made in PRC, etc)
