I have it. Got that set about a year ago. Best pans I’ve ever owned. The titanium coating is so much better than other non stick. They’re insanely easy to clean. Will be buying more soon as I’ll be moving and I want my new kitchen to only have quality tools.

@@AAA-rv7tf a pan, frying pan and a skillet are basically the same thing, that's what Jamie has. They come in different versions, some non stick, some stainless steel, some cast iron, which lasts a long time. A pot is like a pan but very deep, you make soups with it and a saucepan is like a pot but smaller, easier to hold. Sorry for the late but of advice but hope that helps!

@@AAA-rv7tf Frying pan means it's a shallow pan but it has medium to high sides in order to keep cooking oil from spilling out. But it's a fairly large/wide mouthed pan so it has plenty of room for frying things (like shallow pan fried chicken). Skillet is the same size/width as a frying pan but with short sides, not tall sides. The sides are less vertical too and taper out at an angle. It's used for fast frying things, pan searing meats and foods, bruleeing something (like searing an onion or ground beef). A skillet is what you use when you need something lighter, usually with a slight edge to help you toss the food (also called to Saute or Sauteeing). A pot is exactly what you think it is. A large vessel that has very tall sides, it's used for boiling water and poaching foods. You could boil eggs in a pot. A "pan" is a generic term, it can mean basically anything with shorter sides. Small pans, frying pans, wide pans, flat pans, griddles, grill pans, etc. Those are all just categories of pans. So pan is more of a generic term that can mean many different things. A "sauce pan" is unique because it means it's a small pot. Usually you want a sauce pan to be taller than it is wide, as this helps with some cooking techniques and helps prevent burning or evaporation. They always come with a lid, and you usually cook sauces in them with a lid. I hope this could help you!

Strawberries not a good choice of fruit for this. The caramel just got diluted by the water from the fruit. Ended up with a bit of a soggy mess.
@ThisIsMyFullName3 жыл бұрын
Jamie was trying hide his mistake with the ice cream, but it was pretty obvious. A soggy dough with smashed fruit and runny caramel is not what you want in a Tarte Tatin. I'm sure it tasted fine, but the consistency was destroyed by all the strawberry juices. He could have simply made a normal apple Tatin and then put the strawberries and strawberry-syrup on top at the end, with the ice cream on the side. Apple and strawberries go great together.
@danielmoura94213 жыл бұрын
You can put them on a strainer and add a good pinch of sugar. The sugar will extract a fair bit of water and drip away. Works better if they’re chopped. Might make it less soggy.

@ThisIsMyFullName3 жыл бұрын
@@carmelleabron4058 I can do anything I want despite not having written any cook books or made a show. You make it sound like being a professional chef means you can never be wrong. Cooking is a science, but sometimes we get so passionate about an idea we forget that, in this case that strawberries contain too much water to make an homogeneous Tarte Tatin. But when spending hours making a dish, and with Jamie being a very busy person, there's not enough time to throw the whole thing in the bin and start over. The show must go on, so it's easier to hide the obvious flaw with a bit of ice cream and call it a day.
