With activation running the length of the forend, do you find yourself activating the light every time you cycle a round, even when you didn't want or need light?
@handheldlightreviews11 ай бұрын
If you have really large hands or long fingers, you might. But the part that your hand touches the most is rather bulbous and most of your hand's grip is there and not on the pressure pad.

From what I understand, strobe is really a gimmick and not very useful irl. 🤷
@Mike-gi1dk Жыл бұрын
That's what they say but it's very discombobulating and confusing. A solid white light makes an easier target. Strobes can also be used to signal. I think both have their applications so I prefer lights with both options.

You needed to show the light inside of a house. Is it to bright?
@greyman8005 Жыл бұрын
Demonstrating the mounted light indoors (home defense) would have been nice and most appropriate.

I agree...and I almost did. However, I am unsure if I want to show the inside of my house at this time. I think you will understand.

The problem with rechargeable batteries is that they could fail without warning, with the regular ones you can see them getting dimmer. That's why you don't see rechargeable batteries in military and tactical LEM applications.
@handheldlightreviews Жыл бұрын
Good point, thanks for the thoughts.
@Durablesilver10 ай бұрын
rechargeable batteries are used plenty of times for certain things such as radios in military applications, as for weapon accessories for military, regular batteries work just fine since it's easier to just carry extra batteries then to find a way to recharge them during an exercise. weaponlights are also rarely used for military purposes. As for LE you just don't see rechargeable that often because it hasn't become mainstream yet basically most of the super reputable weapon accessories market don't have a model that uses rechargeable batteries, because here once again it's simpler to switch batteries then to wait for an accessory to recharge. Though I suspect with time LE will move to rechargeable accessories. Military however likely will adopt a hybrid approach of swappable rechargeable batteries and disposable batteries, as rechargeable batteries simplifies logistics to a degree and can allow a unit to operate in the field for a bit longer without resupply given they have a method of recharging their batteries, Albeit the limiting factor will still be food and water reserves. the hard truth is both rechargeable and disposable batteries can go out at unexpected times, and oftentimes at inconvenient times so the real answer is to frequently check and change out batteries with usage.
@redneckrebel98309 ай бұрын
@Durablesilver the only pain one ive seen recently with a common practice of rechargeable batteries is olight with their pistol lights. But that's not exactly the same i suppose
@rfcdgaf8 ай бұрын
Lol, 100% BS garbage post by someone whos never served a single day. Rechargeables are used in almost every single mil radio out there, they ain't using disposables. Particularly manpacks.
@Durablesilver8 ай бұрын
@@rfcdgaf lmao, in a training environment yes rechargeables are used, and the disposables saved for the clu, but in actual patrol in theater disposables were nice if they were around, as you could bury them once they were dead and drop weight instead of carrying them back like you would have to with the rechargeables. but it depends on if you had extra disposables or not. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess you were a P.O.G or a Fobbit at least
