This is my favorite video of yours to date. I've been thinking the last few months about the direction I want to take my channel and what would I want my videos to be about. Well, I think I found it a few weeks ago when I decided to start aim training to get absolutely cracked at fps games. I love them, I want to be better at them, and I've realized aim training is really fun and rewarding as well. It all seems like it's starting to come together for me. Thank you so much I am starting a new channel this weekend and now I am able to look at what I need to do for titles and thumbnails. I understand what to do. Thanks for the content😁
@Th3BadThing4 ай бұрын
I know #6 is probably the one I struggle with the most, next to thumbnail / title choice, because I tend to create videos out of a stream of consciousness, and if I am lacking creativity, whether thats for script writing, editing, jokes, ideas, etc, then I really struggle with forcing ideas. Ive tried doing something similar while writing music and it lead me to burnout very fast, but I also recognize its a barrier that needs to be crossed in order to be consistent with uploads. To add to that, I have my primary videos, and a secondary series I launched a few weeks back which I considered starting a new channel for, its not a huge departure from my main content but given it takes less time to assemble and at risk of flooding my channel, I decided to rotate the uploads to keep a balance, but ive been second guessing this decision since creating that series.

BUT I went to look at so many other content creators that are HUGE, and even they don't put their face in there. Also knowing what you should cut out and what you shouldn't cut out can make the difference between a good video and an okay video. Hearing the A-G method and think if a section isn't relevant later, why leave it., was extremely helpful and really good insight/analogy, thank you for the video!

Hey, I have a question I've scheduled 2 weeks off to focus on starting KZbin, I have an idea that's focused around doing ridiculous things which revolve around things I enjoy such as anime and gaming One idea I have is to see how long it would take to watch the popular anime One Piece in real time as I know this show is heavily known for how long it is. Basically a thought I had one day that I would love to know the answer to and watching someone carry out an intrusive thought like this would lead to an entertaining video and probably something that other people have thought of in the past. I have a story line set out and how I want to achieve this. but I'm put off by the same points you made in this video such as focusing on making a lot of video consistently. is it a good idea to focus on a big project that you're happy with or would you focus on pumping out more consistent videos.

Hey, i have a question, I made this yt channel as a 'test' to experiment with different things, ill proabably make another one once i find out what works etc. As i mostly wanna use it to promote my twitch. For some reaosn, my first short has over 1000 views, and around 70% watch it, however the next one i posted, only around 25% watch it, and rest scroll through, despite it being very similar to the first one, and actually (in my opinion) a bit more interesting... Ofc i know the short 'quality' aint the best, as i said, im experimenting with whats good and whats bad, but i just couldnt figure out a reason why the scroll through rate is SO different... Sorry if this comment aint appropriate and you dont asnwer things like that Edit: After rewatching both a few times, would it be possible that background music makes a difference from 25 to 70% scroll through rate??

That's terrible advice. Treat your page as a business. Not a hobby. You will outlast the hobbyists and will try to learn and outperform your competition. If you are not making money in the first month off your channel, you are wasting your time. How with a channel that has that much engagement you should be making a few thousand a month. I've seen a person with 2k subs and 100k views in one video about 10 minutes make $150 a month. I don't know if its because of the Niche they are in since business related. But something seems off. Maybe your niche is not profitable anymore
@victoriadedicova3 ай бұрын
It does not matter about how many subs you have, you are right. But how much you get seen does matter and treating the channel as a business still works. You have to have a hard look at your content and see how you can develop a business with people you do have. You have to think of KZbin as promotion for your business and not exclusively rely on KZbin as your income. Look at sponsorships and affiliates and build out your email list.
@victoriadedicova3 ай бұрын
Also, if you are uploading that often, you should not expect high views. How is your retention? Have you looked at your competition? Have you looked at maybe improving your thumbnails for consistency and using better editing?

It’s funny because it’s just passing on everything I had to learn to do it myself. I think when you do education you get a free pass because it’s so easy to grow in education, and it leaves you with a lack of understanding of what your viewers are trying to do. But to grow a gaming channel or “personality” or “entertainment” channel is just completely different and so much harder so forcing yourself to do it makes you a better teacher because you can relate properly.

Coming back to this video and watching it for maybe the third time (lol) ... To answer the question, "why are you putting your face on your thumbnails?" (the 8:55 mark or so) I believe it is to put human emotion into the thumbnail? ... I mean, you put your face on your thumbnails, and for good reason!
@StreamScheme2 ай бұрын
You can use human emotion without your own face. And I don't put my face in for good reason, I hate that I have to include my face, and try every few weeks to remove it. Our core audience will not click a video by us if my face isn't in it, which destroys early performance and the entire video. We've built a brand on this style, and that is the worst thing we can do because anyone who doesn't know me doesn't care.
@ShocktorGaming2 ай бұрын
@@StreamScheme That is indeed very interesting! I will say that I click on your videos when I see your face, but if it is the style without your face, my immediate thought is it is someone copying your style. I've actually found, in my stats, that my face (in the videos or in the thumbnail) tends to lead to terrible retention, and when I don't include my face at all, the videos do better... so, while my original post says it adds human emotion, I'm basically parroting advice I've heard elsewhere.

I'd say you can stick with nails, but right now your content isn't unique, anyone could do it. I also think a lot of your content isn't really explaining the value behind it. I'd do more research into other Nail channels, but also research into other niches you can take inspiration from. When I do Game Reviews, I watch a lot of Anime reviews, and see how they package content. I use that as inspiration to bring a new feeling to my niche.

why blur the income!?!?
@StreamScheme3 ай бұрын
Because it’s not the point :) Beginners will see it and not understand why it’s the amount it is and either get unreal expectations or confused why it isn’t more. The income is whole video by itself.

Guess I am just screwed then in terms of niche choice lmao

I don’t understand? You’ve got a great focus, you’re doing Japan travel content, people love that You just need to make it less about you in the titles and thumbnails like the “9 tips” video. So rather than, “here’s my journey” with your face You say, “The Most Expensive Saki In Kyoto!” And open on, “Today we’re exploring Kyoto in search of the infamous saki of blah blah blah, we’ll also check out hotsprings, food stalls, and the local temples! Let’s go”

@@StreamScheme As much as I agree with you, I am not actually located in Japan. Every video just feels more like a chore to get to where I actually want to be. The videos youre talking about are relating to my personal vlogs that I created when I went on a holiday for 3 weeks, which were in no way meant to be 'clickable' or 'audience expanding'. That's the type of content I aspire to make at some point, but I am simply not able to make the actual fun content until I manage to live there and already have an established viewer base. I am just a simple dude living in the Netherlands and I want to refrain away from making my channel a purely informative based channel. Yes the video you're speaking of did really well, however that's not who I want to be.

You can do travel and interesting places in your country for now, get people in with showing off all the amazing things you can do, let them slowly get invested in your personality, and then you can do the same anywhere. Just remember, even Abroad in Japan doesn’t focus on himself to get clicks but instead the amazing topic. You’re also misunderstanding, I’m not saying “DO INFORMATION DO TIPS” I’m saying that video did well because people didn’t need to know who you were to click it, it had value outside of you, despite it being you. Offer them value despite yourself, get the click, and let them become invested in you.

@@StreamScheme I honestly do wish the outside world here in the Netherlands appealed to me as much as shooting content in Japan. Besides that I feel less comfortable whipping out a camera here for some reason? Mostly because the chance is higher that people will understand me. Which is ridiculous if you think about it because I am sure there's people in Japan too that were like "lol look at this dood chatting bare shit into a camera innit" I haven't been too active because I've been so incredibly stuck on doing exactly what you're saying. It's the constant not wanting to be a robotic information channel, but also not knowing what kind of content is just fun and silly and makes my personality shine more. I've tried creating gaming content but I've noticed that I am a completely different person on stream than I am on voice call with my friends or even just alone sometimes, it's that constant pressure of wanting to be entertaining and in the process losing yourself. I've been a regular consumer of your videos with a different channel of mine (ThieVuz) and I always respect your takes and info you share but man I feel so stuck with this channel in particular.
