One thing I didn’t clarify in this video that I probably should have is that not everyone is going to feel that the things I brought up in this video are actually issues. If you’re someone who already found a main and/or enjoy the game’s systems and modes then yeah, a lot of the things I brought up here won’t affect you, but this video is mainly speaking from the POV of someone who has yet to find that aspect of 6 that really clicks with them and was thus more affected by these things then others might have been. Just wanted to throw this in here before someone inevitably comes in to say that the gap between AKI and Ed wasn’t bad or the costume pricing was fine because they only bought their mains. Like yeah, I’m sure I’d have been happy waiting for 5 months if I had a character in this game I liked lol. Not trying to be dismissive or anything but yeah, just bear in mind that not everyone feels the exact same way about the game as you, regardless of if your feelings on it are positive or negative. I feel like the 5 month gap was due to Capcom also developing the two new stages along with developing Ed, Akuma and Outfit 3 for all characters. And I feel like that might apply for all future seasons.

Strangely enough the initial SF6 leak DID show all the Season 1 DLC characters as part of the base roster, albeit with slightly different designs (i.e. Akuma having red hair).

Honestly appreciate an analysis and review more focused on like, the characters writing wise and the world rather than mechanics and competitive stuff like everyone else does. In that sense, 6 has been a mixed bag indeed. As for the way content updates are being handled, what happened to those video updates during 5's final season? I figured that would be the norm for 6.

The new generation point is good. They never going to do only new characters but they did really well with new characters. So far there isn't a new character I feel like they did bad with.

I think this is a much better year than SFV's first year, and SF6 is doing better so far, but between all the minor issues, the inconsistency in content drops, and the initial base roster still leaving a bad taste in my mouth, I don't know if I can give Capcom the A. However they've def earned the W, so hopefully Y2 is better. Edit: also, here's hoping for Sean in S2.

@@ahadkhan3486 Bison coming back and half of the next year of content being guest characters is what made me delete it. Them being Fatal Fury characters is irrelevant in this case, I just hate that there’s two.

Yeah the high level fights in world tour aren't very fun. The jukebox update music was nice.

Since you mentioned DNF Duel I rather liked the game at launch but the DLC characters didn't seem interesting to me. I wish they could do a season 2 and adapt the Mistress class from Dungeon Fighter Online. Mistress has scythe slashing attacks and various powers themed around deadly sins: gluttony = a damaging vacuum effect, lust = stretches her nails, sloth = a counter move, wrath = a dashing attack, etc.

What’s wild is tekken 8 has so much in common with sf6. But I never lost my love for tekken. Sf6 I burned out by aki. Tekken just is a much better game for this style with how long a character takes to learn. Sf6’s not deep enough in the sense of there’s not a lot to get out of a character in specific situations for the entire cast to make this format of dumping everything into just a few characters. Why I still think kof 15 is a better game is because it had more characters at launch than this will by year 2 of dlc & came with at worst 7 in a year.

Ehh I find Tekken 8 to be the much worse game and while there’s more to a Tekken character, heat dilutes it as you can play a character at a very low level and still see success. Never got that feeling in SF6. I also think aesthetically Tekken 8 is just a mess of colors and noise compared to before, not like SF6 that has a visual identity.

According to the steam numbers, twice as many people play street fighter 6 on an hourly basis and 3-4 times as many people play street fighter 6 on a daily basis. This is basing off of both games peaks players counts for the hourly and daily counts! Out of 11 months of release up till now street fighter 6 has been in the green on 5 separate months and Tekken has yet to see such rise in player count as they have only been in the red since launch and still losing players! By all accounts, street fighter 6 is inherently the better game because data doesn't lie!

@@DANCERcow Using steam charts isn't really an accurate portrayal of the playerbase, especially considering that most of it are console players. If we're just talking about steam users, then sure, sf6 is more played than t8

@@KiTTtheKiDD "Yes, on console specifically there are for some reason 4 times as many Tekken players as SF players, there's just no evidence of it so I can't prove it" -Clown. Just admit SF6 is the more popular game. I hate these dishonest "well Steamcharts doesn't show consoles" arguments. Stop coping.
