That has always been my feeling about mustangs as well. It is pretty cool that Ford is offering this kind of kit with warranty but at the end of the day the z06 is much more exciting

When the C8 was first introduced I wasn't all that crazy about it's styling because it reminded me too much of a Ferrari. But, I gotta admit, that it's really growing on me now. Especially the Z06. What a fabulous looking and high performance machine. Now I just gotta grow my bank account so I can actually afford one! Haha.

LOVE your ZO6 & would have one over the Mustang even if it had 1000 wheel HP. !! BUT, it was def more than one car length & he gave you the hit on several races.:). Too bad the Z can't be tuned(yet). You need to do a head to head roll race with your C7 ZR1, that would be more fun to watch!!:)

Love the channel. I’m a car enthusiast like all of us. IMO looks wise all day Z06. I keep reading take race to the track and this is what i would say. Well then we need to make a more of a fair comparison. 1) Put a Whipple on a dark horse and I’m sure it will be close on the track 2) Put a Whipple on GT500 track pack and I’m sure the Z06 will lose 3) lastly let’s not forget the GTD where I’m sure will eat the Z06 for breakfast on the track and I’m sure the new ZR1 won’t even beat the GTD only time will tell.

to think you can get a boosted mustang s550 even , cheaper and can run 8s in the the quarter with boost and fuel. that and a s650 boosted or. s650 boosted and v8 f150 with boost for zo6 money and I would go that route ,every day of the week over z06

Totally depends on what you want. If you want a car they can take a turn it’s not the mustang. If you want a car for the dragstrip it’s probably not the z06. Purpose built serve a very specific purpose.

​@HorsePowerObsessed gt500 can get around a track 2 to 3 secs faster than stingray and gt500 ties cars like Ferrari f8 tributo Lamborghini huracan evo and last gen porsche gt3rs. ive seen stingray vs zo6 and I wasnt super impressed around track. and base 75k gt500 starts pulling on top option 185k z06 z07 package over 100mph. And simple mods for 10 to 15k the ,run mid to low 9s. mustangs can handle not just about power when you can make a 4100lbs car handle like it does. hellcats weigh the same and can't handle and take 100k with just chassis left from factory to run close to what stock sealed coyote and coyote variant mustangs run. I always loved the vette grew up around them but have gone the way of the mustang. wish chevy kept vette a front engine upgradeable car we all know and love and brought the mid engine as it's own new offering from chevy.

Lifelong Mustang owner who now owns a Z06 and will tell you these two cars don’t even belong in the same conversation. Literally night and day difference in performance and quality. I even own GT500s and the C8 Z06 is hands down the best car I’ve ever owned…. PERIOD! Streetspeed should run N.A. vs NA or run that Mustang against HPO’s ZR1. Those have about the same horsepower and watch that Mustang get Walked! 😂 and $60k for a Mustang!? What kind of world are we living in?

I love my mustangs I’ve owned and have one I will never sell….. but they are in a COMPLETELY different league as far as quality and track performance goes. On the street it’s hard to be the speed per dollar of a boosted 5.0 with the 10 speed auto. Hell 10 speed N.A. builds are really quick as well but it’s still a Mustang. Believe me I’ve owned about 15 mustangs including cobras, Mach 1’s, GT500’s and they are all great mustangs…… but the C8 Z06 is pushing legitimate supercar territory. Thanks for the comment! Again lifelong Mustang owner and I’ll never sell my Mach 1…. EVER! 😊
