Just passed my CSCS exam, and blitzing through your videos was a fantastic way to review on the morning of the test. And coming from more of a bodybuilding+calisthenics background, programming for endurance athletes is definitely my weakest point, so this kind of content is much appreciated. Thanks, subbed for more!

@@TheMovementSystem Thank you ^^ And I suppose I shouldn't call soccer an endurance sport per se due to having quite demanding components for explosiveness and speed as well, but pretty much anything that involves more than 45 minutes of LISS cardio is considered an arduous endurance event in the bodybuilding realm, let alone soccer 😂😂😂 Going to have to reframe that terminology in my mind

Good work! I think you nailed the needs analysis and I agree if you specialize it a bit more for each position it can definitely make a difference on the pitch. I have a M.S in AES with CSCS, CPT and CE, I have trained soccer players for 10 years and have been a strength and conditioning coach for a semi pro soccer team

I know this is more for pro-footballers, but I have a question based on "amateur footballers", playing 3-4 times a week 1 hour of indoor football. How much do you recommend to go to the gym per week to improve strength, speed and minimize risk of injury? And also what exercises do you recommend in those sessions?

We’ve heard about Football players do the Yo-Yo test and the VO2 max test in their pre-season medical . What do you think of the Lactate Test and FMS tests for a Football player?
@patmull12 жыл бұрын
From what I've observed, pro clubs are doing often all of the three tests you've mentioned but in case they are doing only one test, it's usually the Yo-Yo test.

What is difference between strength and conditioning
@Jordan-gz6xv3 жыл бұрын
They're both pretty much the same thing. Conditioning is when you train specifically for an event/sport. Strength, power, endurance, agility, etc.

Strength is FORCE production,, FORCE production is universal to ALL sports,, There is no such thing as soccer strength or running strength or football strength,, ALL athletes should be squatting deadlifting bench pressing ,overhead pressing and power cleans,, aerobic capacity is built through running.
