I do not know how you get so much knitted. I struggle with the time to knit, and I'm retired. So glad your daughter was able to get the support she needs.

Oh babe, welcome to the Autism spectrum fam! It's a ton of work to get into things, but it is really fascinating and fun. My kiddo was diagnosed in kindergarten, and me shortly after him. It's been such a relief in a way, finding ways we understand the world.

HIi Stacy. I'm sorry that you're in a sad place. You're such a lovely girl doing it tough, and this is hard but life will calm. Ive been in a similar, not the same but similar, and I know life is stressful, a lot. This is the advice that helps me from my 6 year old granddaughter. I was pretty sad one afternoon when she came here after school and said to me, 'Granma you need a distraction'. She is an angel 💗 I knit to distract my brain from over thinking. And I have great faith in my creator that my life is how its meant to be and I do pray a lot, its a type of dialogue, and I know the power of love that is unconditional. Faith for me is love. I'm sending you blessings for strength to be able to get through this part of life. Blessings for health your Mum and hope that she is returns to good health soon. Take it easy on yourself and ease the stress with knitting those beautiful stitches xx

Stacy it is amazing how support and love can begin to build that floor beneath us. Often times it comes to us thru someone who has stood in mid air themselves wondering if they’ll ever get a foundation again. Their generosity can grow thru our appreciation especially when we are willing to be vulnerable enough to share the experience. From all of us that like Jackie have been there and for those who are making the journey now, thank you. And know that for those who will someday be seeking something to restore their balance you have planted a seed of hope. We all stand in prayer for your Mom and for Sally, Jackie’s Mother.

@stacyelstone Жыл бұрын
Thank you for this! I actually worked as an ABA therapist before Eliza and quit because it was not what I thought it was. I worked really hard to find a place that supported Eliza in a way that lets her continue to be herself and does not force her to do things just to check boxes. The place we found is incredible and very progressive and is unlike any “tradition” ABA therapy.
