If Kim were to pass on any time soon, then the DPRK would be forced to change their constitution to allow her to ascend to the Leadership role. At the moment, they have no-one else deemed suitable for the position. If Kim were able to father a son beforehand, she would still be required to take up the role on a sort of "Regency" basis, until the son is old enough to take it himself. All of that is pretty scary

The fact that she wears designer clothes and bags is so crazy. Especially when it’s done to impress the west. Many people who have fled NK has said that because they don’t know what luxury brands like Chanel and Dior were (because they don’t have internet and the few who have TV can only watch state approved content) they had no idea that her bags or clothing was so expensive, which made them furious when they found out on the outside. They only thought they were pretty. One off those bags can buy like 5 families their own houses in NK no problem and here she walks around with it under her arm. Defections are increasing as people realize that they've been had. The South Korean gov't has programmes for welcoming and rehabilitating North Korean refugees. A lot of these people get hooked up with churches, become Christians, and do incredibly well in South Korean society.

Idk why I continue to watch info about North Korea..its legitimately one of the saddest occurrences of our generation. The US spent the later half of the 20th century curating wars to further western ideologies and yet we can’t be bothered to free people who truly need it. Though I guess at this point it’s hard to say how many of them want to be rescued..

It's not up to the US to "liberate" NK. That's what they attempted to do in the Middle East and look what happened. What should be done is providing humanitarian aid and outside information to NK. Freedom is meaningless if people never understand that they're in chains. Yeonmi Park explains it very well. People over there don't even know what freedom is. How are you going to liberate them and hand them freedom? War on NK from the west will only prove Kim's propaganda right and possibly strengthen his regime.
