Strider [ Arcade 1989 ] Longplay/Playthrough

This was a shockingly complex and intricately designed arcade game for its time, there was nothing else like this in the game rooms. I love seeing it being played through, I was never able to get very far so this brings me closure.

Man, this sure takes me back! I used to 1cc so often, I began to try getting over 100k scores by using all available time to kill endlessly spawning enemies. Also, it seems you are playing a good version, one that has the ever changing soundtrack. But i just noticed, it played that annoying song on the airship rather than soundtrack i know for it. One more thing: if you fall into a pit with the robot dog thing, when you respawn, you'll have the dog and the two robots! Did you know that?

I wasn't aware of the pit trick, what level was it on? Does it require you to lose a life? If its possible I mostly upload games without losing a life.

After some thinking, I believe it was on Amazon, and I didn't go into a pit, it was time running out while killing dinosaurs for points. Sorry for the misinfo, haven't done it or thought about it for years. But I definitely remember having all on screen for a bit.

The NES version was a completely different game. I liked the NES version somewhat. The Genesis version was pretty close to the arcade experience.

Its not too bad this game. Aliens vs Predator, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs and Shadow Dancer were much harder.

You can totally outrun and bypass Solo in Stage 2. But you waited too long and he was waiting for you in the next area. Next time, just run.

@@TheVampirePredatoryes it's easier to just run and avoid him but he still comes back later in the level. The best thing to do is finish him on the first meeting but hes tricky and you need to entice him out. On this occasion he stayed hidden.

Unfortunately not for Arcade games but you can mess around with dip switches so you can choose difficulty level. This was played on normal difficulty as it happens.
