Absolutely love this approach to self-defense (continually mixing styles as the fight progresses/changes), great video!

Yep that's why it's great to train across different styles.

I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your videos Mr. Goat. Your by far my favorite You Tube martial art content creator. You do not bash any martial arts systems, and your explanation of the material you are teaching is extremely in depth. I am a practioner of Inosanto Kali, so I am partial toward the content you create on Balintawak Escrima, but I really enjoy everything you put out there. I just wanted to thank you for your proper representation of the martial arts, in a You Tube environmental of childish content creators who do nothing but bash every martial art but their own.

I'm currently in Pentjak Silat Bukti Negara. I love learning from other arts, and find that Wing Chun definitely helps with my flowing movements. I've also learned a lot of structure from both Wing Chun and Budo Karate that's greatly helped my understanding and improved my balance.

I watch all your videos. Very awesome ,please think about what a older man could do that uses a cain. I am a old disabled veteran . At one time I did box nothing big . Just a few friends in the gym years ago

There's an old saying out of Texas. Never pick a fight with an old man, if he's too old to fight you, he'll likely just kill you. There are many cane defense videos out there, lots of good information. Stay safe, keep aware of your environment.

0:47. If you're throwing those punches correctly, they aren't "baby punches."

I noticed police aggressively are using a take down to the ground technique, which is maiming people as well as murdering them with this method. Many are completely innocent. What technique do you recommend to protect yourself against being murdered or maimed for life?

A variety of attacks and failures. As Helmuth von Moltke said "no plan of operations extends with any certainty beyond the first contact with the main hostile force" I think that was the lesson here.

Also consider changing the first slap block to a palm strike directly to the back of the elbow maybe hyper extending the joint which is extremely painful but even if it doesn't it still achieves the same as the slap block shown. Great vids. You have a new subscriber.

Is there a video where you can show these same techniques for someone to implement if the attacker is much bigger than you, same size difference as your partner in the video?
