I'm on my third year with my Strikemaster 24 Volt. I bought the 6 inch because I already had the 8 inch lite flite I used with my cordless drill for a couple years. When the 6 inch went on clearance at the end of the year, I couldn't turn down the price! Although not as fast as when I was using it with my drill mounted on a Clam Plate, it is nice knowing I have a drill that's designed to cut holes and that I'm not wearing out my cordless drill anymore.

I have an early version electric auger and it's pretty clunky/heavy. This unit is pretty tempting as it's a long drag to some of my spots and I don't have and atv or snow machine. Wish I'd seen this before Christmas, eh?

Does that one have a reverse so you can flush the hole out? My Ion does and it’s incredible

I just got one! Unfortunately even after the battery was full and only 5” Ice it kept cutting out on me , taking it back to get a new one , maybe it’s defective!?

It does have a high torque cut out. I know you don't want to push down on them too much. You want to let the blades do the work. But yours may be defective.

@ I didn’t push down at all, I know that part, and it just quits , not even that far into the cut

1st. gen. StrikeMaster electric augers used the same type of 12v battery that a Vexilar uses. Probably 2005 or so.

They’re cool, i have newer gas, after realizing battery is $199.00, i realized i wouldn’t use $199.00 in gas in my lifetime 🤣🤣 But enjoy & be safe! 🙏
