I really like your diction, using the term "blend" as opposed to jumbling through "poly-poly hybrid," I might adopt that going forward. I'd love to hear if you find more spin from Zero as a cross compared to Sync. I'm starting to doubt that round poly's are the meta for crosses with these blends. Sync has not worked as well as I had hoped as a cross, I much prefer it in a full bed, though I do think I still prefer M8. I have subbed. Looking forward to more thoughtful content from TK!

Hey Beckett, The credit for the "blend" lingo I think goes to one of the PH Tennis chaps and it stuck with me as a much cleaner way to convey a poly-poly blend. I tried Zero last year in a full bed for about two weeks and I went back to Confidential at that time. I'm first interested in trying it in the mains with Sync as the control string and then maybe blending it with M8. I'll keep watching to see what you recommend in the crosses and then maybe I'll follow suit. Thanks, I'll be sure not to quit my day job and let the full-time creators do the heavy lifting. I'll come in afterwards to Monday morning quarterback ;-)

Hey Beckett, K-pop and K-pro have shaped crosses how do you feel about those compared to round cross blends?

What a great first video and foray into KZbin. Can't wait for your next video TK!

That's nice of you to say. I was hesitant to venture into the talking-head world of KZbin. I was and am still expecting to be flamed ;-)

Thanks for the review! Have you done any customization to your Gravity MP’s?
@tdrewk157 ай бұрын
They are actually MP-L's with a fair amount of weight added into the handle and some lead in the head. It's 320g static weight and 315 swing weight.

Have you tried a super slick round cross like these with a “normal” string in the mains? Seems like it could help improve snapback and longevity on standard string but dampen the trampoline effect
@lsfire34898 ай бұрын
But if tension maintanance is better than e.g. alu power then even flat hitters would benefit. For non pro players this might be more important than ultimate performance and price. The hazzle of restringing often is high for some players.

Did you test the Restring Zero ( full bed vs blended with Sync). How would you compare with the Super Toro and Wasabi ? thank you for your informative review
@TK-Tennis8 ай бұрын
I play tested a full bed of Zero last year. My plan is to first test Zero in a blend with Sync to compare it to the Toro and Wasabi setup.

@@TK-Tennis that's great to hear, can't wait for your next comparison vid. Toroline also offers Enso Pro which looks like a promising cross string for those blend, hope you can try that as well.

@@thaip8336 Good call. I like that it also comes in a carbon black color and it's also a round poly. I like the idea of testing poly blends as a primary review niche.

Nice info thank you... can you make a co-poly string softer by pre-stretching? Don't see enough discussing this area and if you were gonna try Wasabi X and Tourna BH Silver 7's ... would you go wasabi X in mains? was thinking 17's 51/49
@TK-Tennis3 ай бұрын
Pre-stretching a co-poly tennis string generally makes it play firmer rather than softer. The string will feel less elastic and a firmer overall feel. I have yet to play with Tourna S7 and it's on my pending list. I did not find anything really noteworthy when using Wasabi X in other blends, but that's not to say it's not a quality string...it just was meh for me.
@RichardKevinYang8 ай бұрын
awesome vid! amongst the toroline strings you've tested, which would have most spin/control potential, while maximizing comfort (if that is a possible dimension)? I have tested wasabi and toro toro and agree with your assessment. Testing Caviar now it I feel like that has the most spin and control, but feels a little firmer

Have only played with Wasabi and Super Toro from Toroline so far. Outside of Toroline, I find Grapplesnake Tour M8 to be very comfortable out of any Poly I've used.

Wasabi/wasabi x hybrid works well for spin + comfort

@@TK-TennisWhat tension do you use Tour M8 at? I’m getting some soon but have tennis elbow so I was thinking of hybriding with a multi in the cross. But perhaps string at say 45lbs in a full bed would do the trick? I normally do 48/50 poly/multi
@TK-Tennis7 ай бұрын
@@ryansolomon4178 I've play tested Tour M8 at various tension from 38 to 61. Lower tensions are en vogue these days, but personally I prefer higher tensions. I had a period of tennis elbow about 18 months ago after switching to a Gravity Pro and using Confidential. I then switched away from the Gravity Pro and began using Tour M8 and cured by elbow after some months. Tour M8 certainly helped and at that time my tension was 48lbs. My suggestions would be to start with the Poly/Multi blend to first try and resolve the tennis elbow, then possibly moving to a full bed of M8. 45-48lbs plays very well when it's fresh, but if you hit well it will get a little spongy after 5-6+ hours like all poly's do when stringing in the 40's.
