What a cute and refreshing video teaching your babies old school ways. People nowadays have gotten so citified they don't even know how to cook little own can. When I was growing up we had what was call a truck Garden. Hated it when I was a kid hauling metal buckets of water out to the fields to water all the vegetables. Then in the fall my great-grandmother mother and my grandmother would be canning 4 days in a cauldron under an old apple tree. If you did that to a kid today they turn you into the child labor laws. Did that from Age 3 till I was 18 and left the house. Thanks for sharing and Hope younger people are watching it's a great way to make your budget go farther.

Greetings.... thanks for sharing the video. I remember as a kid spending summers at my Mamaw's house in Greenup, Ky., sitting on the back porch helping her string green beans. Afterwards, she would help me catch honeybees with her bare hands and we'd put them in a mason jar so I could look at them up close. After a little while, we'd set them free again. I was always amazed that she never seemed to get stung. She was the official Bee Catcher🐝🌻🐝 Good memories. Take care and looking forward to your next videos....peace

Like Dan Van Hoose, I miss those old times also, but for me it was the times like you folks are doing in the vlog. After supper, Mom and Dad and us 3 kids would sit at the kitchen table and string and break beans for canning the next day. We would talk about our day, Dad would tell a story of his growing up days, we would sing songs and laugh. I always say that those were the best days of my life, until I met my wife of 51 years ago, and we started making memories of our own.

What a wonderful cooperative family. I am a new viewer, and new to canning. I have 2 canners and 3 dehydrators. I'm not prepping, just trying to improve the quality of foods we eat, without artificial thickeners or preservatives and chemicals. I wish I grew up learning how to do this. You are giving your children an education very valuable for their lives.

Wow what an awesome family effort with the green beans I had a little giggle at lil Finlay's comment, most children do not like vegetables haha as a mother and grandmother if only children would eat vegetables but it's a universal thing. As mothers and grandmothers we need to hide veg sometimes in dishes or drinks. Blessings from Australia
