This was fantastic! Very slow and intense, really builds up heat, and the commentary made me very aware of what was going on in my body. I've done lots of yoga videos on youtube, but your videos are the best and most challenging, and combine mental awareness, concentration, and physical challenge all together in a way that other videos don't! Thank you!

Thank you so much, Tim and Stacy for this perfect slow flow and the tons of happiness and insight it gave me. I'll definitely do it again for a yummy weekend yoga treat. Stacy's graceful, elegant moves, her sublime postures and your ,as always, excellent commentary really raised my awareness and focus on what's happening in the body when going through the Asanas. What an exciting little step on my personal Yoga trail this video is :)! Namaste!!!

I am writing from India. We are under a lockdown at the moment. I am so glad to have found your site to substitute for my Iyengar Yoga class that I can't go to. Love the clear instructions, the pace and the flow. I look forward to practicing a different sequence everyday. Thank you Yoga Dose!.

This is a great sequence. It has the "right" speed for me. I am 66 years old, and, although I admire the fast Vinyasa flows, shown by many yoga teachers here on KZbin, they are impossible to do for my age group. Therefore I am grateful to you Tim, to provide routines that I can do. They are still challenging enough but still give all the benefits one expects from an Asana session. Thank you very much Tim, and the lady in the video, the above sequence will be become, as some of your other vinyasa videos, one of my household routines. Keep up the good work!

I'm 42... I've only been practicing for about 2 years. I find the very fast paced flows, although admirable, are something that I tend to injure myself with. Unless I'm feeling amazing that day and very on point, the faster flows are just not good for me.

I feel inclined to react to this video again. North - South, East - West, this one is the best! By watching the postures, one gets the impression they are taken out of a constructed photo book. All of them are perfect and could serve as a standard template. Also perfect are timing, pace and the asana sequence.

Thank you for another great class! Do you have any tips for people practicing with flat feet? You spoke a lot about arches in this video, and I am often concerned that my lack of arches might be negatively affecting my practice - any advice would be greatly appreciated!
@YogaDose10 жыл бұрын
Eithne McGonigle There's exercises you can do to try to strengthen your arches, but that just might be how they are. Some people claim that by having an awareness of lifting their arches while practicing, they have changed them... not too sure about that though.

Also, this is an old video so i am hoping you are fully recovered from your injury. I did have a question about this if you don't mind sharing. Do you find any long lasting effects of injuries on your yoga practice? i know this isn't your first injury! Any tips or suggestions of what gets you healed and back on the mat? Thank you.
@AprilKuan10 жыл бұрын
Wow Tim, this was a sweet, slow-paced class but I'm so used to quick flows that the long holds challenged me. Appreciate the alignment cues and Stacy's adherence to form was great to watch (think there are too many vids out there that don't stress on alignment enough)! Question: My left foot tends to point out at a 45-degree angle in tadasana. I feel a strain when i try to keep it straight and when i lift my right leg and hold my foot, i find it hard to keep my torso facing forward. Is it bad to force my left foot to be straight or should i keep conditioning it?
@YogaDose10 жыл бұрын
April Kuan Hmmm, thats a tough question. It may be that your structure is such that you need to turn the foot out like you're saying. It's hard to know without seeing you in person. Do you know a very skilled pt, or body worker or ART (chiro) you could consult. In my opinion it might be in your hip,or if its in the way your leg is formed you shouldn't force it. Tough question, I can say for certain what you should do without some more info, but asking questions like these are great. It shows you';re on the right track to deeper awareness and understanding of your body. What a beautiful thing!!
@AprilKuan10 жыл бұрын
Thanks Tim! I don't know any experts i can consult but i've asked a couple of teachers. One said it's ok to have my left foot point out cuz that's my natural anatomy. The other said i could try to slowly condition it to be straight and with regular practice, it would. It's been years now and i still struggle with it though. I feel the strain especially when i'm doing Standing Twisted Leg Extension where the base of my lifted left foot tends to curl inwards. Also feel a strain in boat pose as my left knee keeps wanting to point out and cannot align with my right

@YogaDose9 жыл бұрын
Jui Ianne Bacay I don't really recommend doing the ashtanga series to keep your body healthy. I think there are too many pick up and jump backs and too many up dog-down dogs for the average human over 18 years old. All the poses in the sequence are great, but way to many vinyasas in my opinion.

it's a great sequence, thank you very much! but Tim, if you don't mind some critique, there was waaaay too much talk man. I mean talking is okay so we know what to do next, but all those explanations were so distracting. If someone tends to do strong vinyasa, they probably know why there is a block, what is a downdog etc.... I had to stop half way... maybe not the right day for me, but the reason I'm following you is the balance between your words and asanas... however not this time :/ I will try another day. Still, great set. Thank you..
