64 and slipping… Lately, I’ve used this emoji for far to many situations. 🫤 As useful as it is, that’s not the life I want. This looks like a great starting place. Let’s get old feeling better than we do now…? It’s a goal, anyway? 💙

70 here. After a lifetime of construction work and other hard physical labor there is no part that doesn't hurt.

I am soon to be 70 and I almost feel better than I have in decades. One thing which is never addressed here is diet. I am pretty sure each of you would benefit from a blood glucose test and a change in diet. I was prescribed the Ketogenic Diet by my GP five years ago because of pre-diabetic high A1C and it has changed my life. I lost 75 pounds in less than a year just by changing my diet. EVERYTHING has been improving and continues to improve. All the "old man problems" seem to be going away. All my aching joints are clearing up due to the reduction in inflammation in my joints because of the diet. I worked my entire life in construction too. I have osteoarthritis everywhere. But cartilage can grow back with the correct diet and exercise of the joints. I continue to engage in physical exercise and that has been hard because I was pretty sedentary for a while. So check your diet. Get rid of all the sugars and carbs. Go Keto. And notice how much water you are taking per day. Dehydration makes everything worse from aching muscles to aching joints to low energy. I feel like I am aging backward and I bet you can too.

When these feel too easy you could try straddle and/or straight leg reverse hyper. They target all of the glutes, lower back and spinal erectors. You can do a single leg version standing at the sink :) Simply hang onto the sink for stability and lift one leg up and back at 45 degrees (half straddle), you`ll feel a strong contraction in your outer glute. You can bend your leg to make it easier (shorter lever)

Hello Will, I’m a woman in my 60’s and use your videos as a checklist to see whether I’m doing the right exercises and luckily I am. The combination of Reformer Pilates and weight training seems to help my old sports injuries including a slipped disc in 2020!

Thank you. I now have options for glute exercises. Strengthening my glutes actually cured my plantar fasciitis. I tried all the typical plantar fasciitis remedies and none worked. I strengthened my glutes and fixed it almost overnight. Weird, I know. 😊

Are there any exercises to make the bum smaller? I love that you cater to the elderly. If the young are smart, they'll start doing your exercises now so they'll be in better shape before they reach their 50s. Thank you!

Very interesting, Will. I've seen all of those exercises separately, but putting them together this way will make you really feel the burn. (I expected some bridges, but this seems much more targeted.) Thanks so much, as always, you never disappoint.

Greetings from Greece 😊 Thank you for the wonderful exercises and your fantastic book "Thriving beyond fifty" By the way you might be interested to know that showing "repeat 10 times" with your fingers spread is an offensive gesture for Greek people 😁 However it would be Ok if we saw the back of your hand with the fingers spread out.🤗

Will, I have been hearing more and more about wearing a weighted vest while exercising, to speed calorie burn - or build muscle? Not sure of the reason for doing this. What is your opinion of weighted vests? Is there a certain limit based on personal weight, that should be used in the vest? Does a weighted vest cause back issues - or make them worse? Can the extra weight be detrimental to feet? My plan would be to wear one while taking several mile walks. Thank you!! I never miss a video and subscribe to 3 tip Fridays!!

Do you have a video one can use if the pelvic floor muscles (eg on a woman) aren't as strong as they used to be? If not - I'm sure a lot of us would appreciate it - as these muscles can deteriorate and let one down even for a woman that hasn't had children or even been pregnant ever. Cue - embarrassment etc. Not good news if one has an occasional "accident" - when that never used to be the case - and hence the decision "That has got to go and get back to normal - like right now" (especially if one is still dressing in the same way as ever - eg wearing leggings).
