I love building the weldbilts. The transition from the Stratos to this is night and day. I bet I climbed in and out of that Stratos 1000 times. My favorite part about building a 48-wide Is that I can reach across to the other side without getting in the boat. This makes a huge difference on the wear and tear on my legs. Especially considering that 90% of these videos are filmed after I work a full 8-hour day. I think it's safe to say this will be my best 14 foot boat build yet. I'm going to leave an itemized list of all the prices for the material I'm using in each video. Since the hatches and live well were not completed yet I will add them later. So far the only material I have used is in the front deck frame. I'll leave the list below. 👇
3" x 1" x 1/16" tube 7' @$3.00 =$21.00
2" x 1" x 1/16" tube 6' @$2.50 =$17.50
1.5 "x1.5"x1/8"angle 10'@$3.50=$35.00
That's a grand total of $73.50 for the front deck framing. This frame is super lightweight coming in at only 6.5 pounds! Once the hatches, deck sheets, and vertical supports are installed, this front deck will easily be able to hold over a 1000 pounds! Basically your boat would sink before your front deck failed! Episode 3 will have a lot more information because it will show majority, if not all of the metal work that goes into this boat. I appreciate you guys watching and hope that you would subscribe to the channel. This video is basically 2 videos I combined into one. I could not find a good way to split it up and really just wanted to drop it as it was. I would really love to hit 10k subscribers by the end of the year! Help a brotha out!!! I gotta get back to work!

The music works great during the time lapse periods but when you are working at actual speeds then hearing your explanations and tool sounds are great.

This 40 minute video felt like 15 minutes. So much great info and inspiration to build our own. Music or machinery? I don't mind either way as long as the machine is not super noisy. Congrats on 7K+ subs.

No concern at all here about the video length. Never drags. All super interesting. I love the music in your videos. The quiet segment is a cool change up but it works best in a small segment and as a contrast to the music backed segments.

Seems the length not so big deal --- it went by fast ....... and oh my what info it carries!!! As for music vs noise ... no matter here; the noise is the way it is, so I'm all for it. Quality isn't time-saving that's for sure - otherwise it wouldn't be question. Love it! Be Safe

Build is looking sick. I like where you stopped the front deck extension. People tend to go a little crazy with their front deck lengths IMO. In a 14fter, floor space is limited and if there's ever more than 1 person in the boat that lower floor space is valuable. Allows you to move around safer and easier. As for the music, I don't mind it for time lapse scenes but when you're talking it's not necessary. It can be a distraction. Just my opinion though. I definitely prefer music over the sound of a welder though 😁. That's the sound of money for you though I'm sure.
@TRICKEDTINS
@TRICKEDTINS Жыл бұрын
Thanks brotha. I figured that extra floor space in front of the deck would fit a big cooler, or back seat boater tackle box, and not interfere with leg room while using the outboard.

Thank You for this one. I am almost ready to stop the outdoor projects and head into the AC/Garage to start knocking out my first modified tin. I was staring at the different types of angle/squared aluminum they had in Home Depot this morning. Now, I know what I will be reaching for at the different stages. Probably going to check out the actual sheet metal dealer also to see what they carry and check out their prices. I am in Chesapeake, VA too... any recommended suppliers???
