Is it possible you can do a moment area example for a statically indeterminate beam ? Maybe fixed at both ends with a distributed load on half the beam ? thanks
@structurefree9 жыл бұрын
Johnny Collins i probably won't get to it any time in the near future, but if you know how to find reactions (using whatever method) and draw the shear and moment diagrams, then the process is the same.

+structurefree hi, what is the best way to calculate reactions for indeterminate beams? Do you have anynin your vids? Will appreciate the reply

I wonder if there is any way to calculate a slope at a point on elastic curve by using Moment area theorem for a beam such over hang beam which can not be easily find the point where zero slope locate. thank for any reply :)

+Sakuna Keang yes, i believe you can.

Thanks mate you're amazing, how did you draw tangent A?
@avielexpatingermany214210 жыл бұрын
is minor but at 1:26 the 2nd sum of moments you do is about B not A :D
@structurefree10 жыл бұрын
thanks for catching that. I'll add an annotation to the video.

How can we find the location and magnitude of maximum deflection in a simply supported beam having unsymmetrical loading?(in Moment area method).
@structurefree10 жыл бұрын
Bikram Oli max deflection is likely to occur where the slope in the beam is zero for a simply supported beam.

Hi, this message is too late now, my final structure application exams in 9 hours. But it would be useful if you used numbers instead of letters I find it more understandable, just a personal preference :) not sure how many people agree
