It is just so true that to be free we need to first repent, and then we (I mean I) can then forgive from the heart, and then and only then are the bars of bronze broken and we can walk free from the prison, the burden that's been crushing us (I mean I). It's true and it's real. Thanks be to God.

I say this as a survivor of numerous traumas: 20:00 we also need to start with repentance because wounded creatures strike out at others. (We turn away AND strike out.) We need to repent of how we have wounded others (all have sinned and fallen short). How can we ask God to forgive us, when we (who have also hurt others, albeit in different ways) will not fogive others the pain they've caused us? It is a hard truth to face the irrefutable fact that we are perpetrators, too. Not to the same degree, perhaps, but all of us have been the cause of pain and suffering in others. Sorry for redundancy.

I am gob-smacked by having been led to this program tonight. This episode was posted only several hours ago, so recently that I may be the first to write a comment. This past weekend, I attended a powerful women’s retreat and while listening to a presenter giving a talk on Forgiveness, I felt certain that I was being called to present my own talk on the same topic at some future time. As I am watching your program, I suddenly realized that despite my own certainty that I have forgiven wrongs from my past, I have never done so FROM MY HEART with GOD STANDING BESIDE ME. As I write my talk, I will take insights from this program so I can actually choose to TRULY FORGIVE those who have wronged me. I think that I can do so with Christ standing beside me, loving and forgiving me as He shows me the way. Then I can also forgive MYSELF for my lack of understanding and empathy towards the past, the problems, and the point of view of so many people in my life whom I never saw as victims too.

I’ve tried for months to repair a broken down relationship with a woman I loved very much. But, she has repeatedly rejected my approaches and refused to allow me even one opportunity to see her or to speak to her. I’m broken hearted, but also, I’ve begun to realise, full of anger and resentment. Only recently has it occurred to me, she isn’t being unkind or cruel, she herself is also angry and resentful because of how she has been treated in previous relationships and by parents who let her down. As a result, it’s almost impossible for her to respond differently to me. She simply can’t overcome her own pain. I have no choice - for her sake and mine, than to forgive her, forgive myself, and ask God to forgive both of us. We’re both wounded and hurt and I must accept the relationship is over. Forgiveness (and therefore accepting with compassion that she is deeply scarred) is the only way forward. This process of understanding and, eventually, heartfelt forgiveness is long and difficult. It’s not an intellectual one. It’s about transitioning from the pain of loss in your gut, to the warmth of love in your heart.

It is hard to Forgive because the word Forgive brings the trespass to my mind. What worked for me is..as Jesus Said..Bless your enemies! I can easily ask God to Bless them and it doesn’t bring the trespass to mind. 😊❤

I was wronged by people that I was in College with. Many years have gone by. I did go back to college to just see some of the people that have wronged me. No sooner did I close the door, dorm room. I heard that they started making fun of my hair, it was heavily frosted. They were talking about my black roots. That’s heavy frosted. I never saw them again. Maybe I should have opened their door and said something, but I just walked away. It took me. It took me 36 years to forgive them. I did it through the Lord. Not face to face to them, because I don’t know where they are. They said many things about me. What really upset me was my roommate and I were friends. I even shared a meal with her and her family. When the other girl came the friendship ended. The other girl really did not like me. When I look about on this I believe my roommate was gay. My roommate wanted to do everything the other girl did hung on every word she said, even as far as doing drugs, smokedpot. I asked her once,” her friend jumped out the window would she do it too? she never answered me. There are others also that I had to forgive. Those that were very spiritual. This is a very good session. Thank you sweet Jesus for this.

Profound video on God’s perfect Divine Providence in our lives from the minute of our conception until our death. He is with us intimately through the good, the bad, and the ugly moments of our lives. “He orchestrates beautiful words with so many crooked lines.” May we all forgive everyone for any, and all transgressions, done against us, because “they know not what they do.” Pray for them in their brokenness. 🎚💔❤️‍🩹❤️🎚🕊️🙏🕊️ 1:04:21
