It's more common to be straight and I can't change myself or who I'm attracted to, honestly I couldn't even care less who others are attracted to either as love knows no boundaries and I'm not the one dating them, so how they swing is none of my concern in ANY context whatsoever, you do you as long as you're not shoving it down my throat at breakneck speeds. So not like me and many many others are purposely doing anything to be disliked by you...... :/ That has put me off tremendously before- like as if I'm doing something wrong for just existing here?? I'm just here to appreciate your damn art skills and support your journey ma'am and even though I respect everyone equally regardless of their personal tastes and choices, it's clear you're trying to cater to a specific audience and wholly demean and paint everyone else in a derogatory light if they don't fit that bill and pass the background check. So I guess this place really isn't for me and others in the end if you dislike us JUST because of our sexuality of all things lmao, instead of actually be connected through art as artists and appreciators, and respect each other as goddamn human beings regardless of our preferences too. I don't go prancing around proudly admitting I'm homophobic, transphobic or likewise prejudice like race too (if I was ofc lol,) and I highly doubt you'd want that kind of disrespect either, nobody does. If you don't like to wait for the paint to dry, I recommend getting a craft heat gun, they are affordable and work like a hairdryer except it's mostly heat so you don't have to worry about it ruining your painting

"Other Ever Afters: New Queer Fairy Tales" by Melanie Gillman is the sweetest (yet weirdly dark at times?) graphic novel that is an easy one-day read, and I 10/10 would recommend!

It’s great to see that you’re back and feeling well post surgery. So here’s my unsolicited advice of the day… a tip that really helped me to fall back in love with my sketchbook was to stop thinking about sketchbooking as “spreads”. I stopped thinking about how all the pictures on the page go together and started thinking about what I feel like drawing at this very moment (more like mindful arting). That way, if I want to paint a wee gouache sketch in one corner on one day and a fully rendered pencil sketch on another part of the same page on another day, it’s a-ok. My sketchbook is chaos, but it’s so much fun. I also gave myself permission to do one drawing or sketch and put the book down - there’s no need to force the creative process. It has been freeing and fun and I’ve fallen back in love… maybe this could help🤷‍♀️ Also, I’m not sure if anyone else has suggested it, but Song of Achilles by Madeleine Miller is an amazing book. It will DESTROY you, but it has a passionate, compassionate, and fully rendered gay love story. Wow! Two advices in one day!😅

Idk if you're taking book recommendations, but have you read the Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon? When I got it in Barnes and Noble it was an employee recommendation labelled 'If Game of Thrones didn't hate women! Also queer relationships!' also I just love the cover art it's so vibrant and pretty! Speaking of vibrant and pretty, that portrait turned out so good! I might need to add neon colors to my set too. Also I totally agree on having gold paint, it just makes the perfect little touch on some pieces.

Just be aware that neons will fade and are not at all lightfast. But yeah, neon pink is killer, I also have it on my palette. It's just too pretty. But not lightfast, so don't leave it in the sun!

True! It might even fade in a sketchbook. Best to scan any neons, bright pinks, alcohol markers etc.

Hi hi, I love your videos in any formats - if they're more chatty studio vlogs i use it as a podcast/background for cleaning, if it's more art time videos i use it while i make art. I did like the video where you took the camera to the beach, but i totally understand the fear 'cause cameras are expensiveee so please do whatever you feel comfy! Maybe you can do phone footages when you're out and about? I don't mind mixed formats at all.

I think vlogs should just be you enjoying your own company. I like a vlog that seems like I am just watching someone live their lives and like thought dumping on us. It just seems more real. I do like heavily curated vlogs too much I am probably more likely to sit though a long form vlog if it is more disorganized than a 40min extremely curated and aesthetic vlog.

From time to time, you could do different experiments like that video where you paint 1 portrait with 2 different art supplies. Ikd challenge yourself. You could also paint in location more often, or take your own pictures and then use them in a painting. Original artworks are missing. Overall, I think you do really well keeping your channel ART FIRST. I love and respect that so much 🥰💖

Hi! Watercolor artist here (who is OBSESSED with metallic watercolors) - it totally depends on the quality of the paints, but here's how i use my metallics: spritz it with water and let it soak! Then swish the brush around and make almost a paste with it? that ensure maximum opacity. Also! Do not shade over it! Metallics like this work best when you use them as "2D" accents, putting anything over top will just pull up the sparkle and make it muddy. Alternatively, you can also just water them down and use it as a sort of glittery wash on certain sections!

I haven’t read it myself, but Gideon the Ninth is about sapphic necromancers (I believe), the straightness kills most things for me too. Edit: if you want neon pink, ‘Georgia Peach’ is an ink by Noodlers and it is about as neon as you can get! Just in case you were looking for a neon ink!
