Hi guys, in this video I give a long winded answer on what the stryker interview process is like. How to do well and move through the process and how to better your chances at getting the job.
The interview process is long and hard.... yup. And before you know it you're 6-8 interviews deep, wondering how it has been 3 months and still haven't gotten your answer. Don't let this be you. Have more eggs in more baskets and aim to win.
Networking is key. If you don't know your local reps, get to know them. They & follow up are the only things you need to get to the front of the line. This is America. Losers wait and winners find a way past the sheep.

Stryker interview was no sweat to me. Job is before family. Its what provides the roof to your family, the quality of life to your family. Why mess with that? Stryker employees work hard and play hard.

@@PierrePacini thanks for responding....i am a doctor of physical therapy with over 20 years experience....earlier in my career, i was interested in sales and marketing and broke into pharma sales...I was in pharma for 5 years, and was approached by another PT company and was offered a very high salary (double what i was making in pharma), and felt it was a no brainer at the time. Fast forward 14 years later to today, and with the Medicare cuts to providers, I am worried it will get worse. Even though I have been out of pharma for 14 years, do you think I have a chance of getting back into specialty sales or become a medical sales liason at this time? Like I said, I have my doctorate in PT, am a practicing clinician, and have the sales experience and drive.

Hi Pierre! Thanks for all of this useful info. I’m curious how you would recommend reaching out to higher ups without seeming desperate. This is something I currently do in my sales role, but I haven’t ever done it in an attempt to get a job in the future. Thanks in advance for the assistance!
@PierrePacini
@PierrePacini 2 жыл бұрын
The exact same way you do it in your sales role. Just let them know you’re doing research for the role and wanted to benchmark with them. Or if a rep told you who they are tell them you found out by taking to the rep and you wanted to get on their radar for future opportunities. Don’t complicate it and it’ll be fine.

I’ll give you my secret that others can steal if they read the comments. Sent an email beforehand. No one does that. Say you’re confirming for the appointment and you’re excited. Just a short and sweet message. This makes you different and keeps you from having to “follow up” immediately after the interview. Then you can truly follow up a couple of days later. Hey Pierre, I've been subscribed to your channel for a couple years now and you've always given great advice in regards to pursuing a career in medical device sales. I recently completed the 12-week Orthopedic Recon, Trauma, Biologics and Spine program at Medical Sales College, and Stryker has been my #1 target company for many months now. I've been told connecting and networking on LinkedIn would be the best way to potentially break into Stryker (and other medical device companies), however I've had little to no luck with responses and it seems every role they've posted in my area are "tire-kicking" roles. Do you have any additional advice beyond the video on how to help with the process of getting a position? Thank you in advance and keep the videos coming!

You’re in the hardest part of it right now. If I were in your shoes I’d be relentlessly hitting up multiple people on LI. I’d ask if I could chat/benchmark with them. If there was an open role in that company I’d ask after we spoke if they’d refer me in. Put together a brag book and start sending it to the people you talk to. Ask for feedback and start sending it to HM and directors. It’s all a game of numbers at this point. If you haven’t looked on medreps.com I’d look on there for jobs and start reaching out to the recruiters that post them.

if stryker loves winners why are you suggesting to answer the "do you love winning or hate losing" saying that you hate to lose?
@PierrePacini
@PierrePacini 2 ай бұрын
Hey, that’s a great question and I’ve been asked this a lot. The easiest way to explain it is: everyone loves to win. So as a winner you can’t say that separates you from the rest. So a “driving motivator” is losing. You “hate” losing MORE than you love winning. That’s what motivates you to win.
