Personally I think this is their best ballad ever. Which says ALOT

This song is a masterpiece of pop/hard rock ballad writing. The vocal performance is stellar. Awesome production. It's a crying shame this song probably won't get the radio play it deserves.

Does anyone else think this song could get some mainstream play? I feel like this could be a hit. Instantly loved it.

Yes! Totally agree - this is a wedding song in the making - amazing!

It should get mainstream attention, this song kinda reminds me of Honestly,,it was a very successful song by them,,Near should be played on radio.

I think that Michael Sweet and Stryper sometimes forgive that we love them specially for such kind of things. I missed more melodic hard rock music, like they did in a brilliant way in the past 80s.

Please, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame must induct STRYPER!! 🙏🏻😎🤘🏻🎸🎸🎤

Best track Stryper have ever done. They dipped in the well of 88-90 for this one, including Michael’s voice. My God is this good.

I agree with you. Absolutely! 👍🏻

After listening to the album several times and watching your song reviews, 100% this is STRYPER’s best full album ever. Every song is fantastic. Near is my favorite song today. Great video.

1st :) As far as their latest 'balad' type of songs go, this is the best.

Ye I covered every musician mate....spoke a lot about Oz later on in the track by track

I think both Michael Sweet and Richard Martínez (Oz Fox) own it, if we're talking about guitar playing.

I've always said that Stryper's message was the most important factor for me. Whether or not they are the greatest musicians is not of the greatest importance, and isn't at issue, but their messages over the years on album after album have separated them from the pack in distinct, noticeable and permanent ways. In a world where so many bands flat our glorify Satan, and pure evil, even AC/DC or Ozzy, Stryper stands alone as a warm, inspiring voice that comes straight from the heart of God.

One of my top favorites on this Album ❤😎👍👍

Thanks for another fine review. Stryper is firing on all 12 cylinders. Michael’s voice on this song reminds me of him 30 years ago. Sounds so young and strong. I encourage others to patronize other Christian bands also. The Brave is killing it with Evie’s little Garden along with a new album Gravedigger. Fear Not and Holy Soldier have some new good stuff out there. Oops, Jamie Rowe lead singer from Guardian has a new album coming out soon too.

Es increíble como Michael mantiene su voz tan juvenil y fresca Pido a YHWH muuuuuuchos años más de vida para cada integrante de Stryper y todos los que leen este comentario. Bendiciones!

I’m just not normally a ballad type of person. Normally. This song is different. This is great. I love it. It’s a great song.

This song is really "Near" and close to Queen and Journey sound. I missed a little more melodic hard rock tunes like this in the last album. That's why Stryper is simply GREAT!

The lyric video just dropped yesterday, cool video. Leigh, to go off topic, you ought to do a comparison video of The Roxx Regime Demos with The Yellow and Black Attack both by Stryper.
