I think loving God also means trusting Him. We need to trust Him that obeying Him will be for our ultimate good, even if we’re giving up on something our flesh desperately desires. We're saved for works, not by works. It is God’s work prepared in advance for us to walk into by drawing closer to Him daily and obeying His word and voice. All the glory belongs (only) to God for our salvation that we can't boast in our own efforts. It is God who empowers us to do His wil. I often hear people ask, if GOD is all knowing why would HE create Man knowing they would commit evil against others & HIM, causing much suffering & distress…. Now, why did my Parents decide to have me & why did I decide to have Children KNOWING they will lie, disobey, & be insincere towards me…. Simple, although this happens, it’s not the entire Story…MOST of our life we produce good deeds, are sincere , & love immensely…. Yep, we are a mixed up Creation, at times we do bad & at times we do good….so the reason GOD created us is the same reason we have kids….to love them by teaching them what it means to be good & loving, being able to say…. “this is my beloved Son/Daughter, with whom I am well pleased!”

Cliffe and Stuart and all Christians...recommend better incorporating God's truth with "obey". With Christianity, it's a genuine and growing, grounded in agape love, relationship with God together. It's completely trusting God (the most amazing and superior Entity in existence), that naturally results in gradual spiritual maturity over time with both a growing Christ-like character and striving to do His will (that is the most amazing and superior in existence).

Good discussion with the first guy, he asked some good questions. This whole "Jesus died for all of mankind's sins" doesn't seem to fit with reality. Humans have been on this planet for 10's of thousands of years, yet it was only 2000 years ago God came up with this plan to use his son as a sacrifice to pay the price for all of mankind. So what's the fate of all those billions of people who lived before Jesus's sacrifice?, they missed out. As I've pointed out on here lots of times, it took nearly 1500 years before Christianity reached the shores of the American continent, and those early Christians forced their religion on the indigenous people of that land. Bows and arrows are no match for cannons and guns. Look what the white Americans did to the native north Americans who had no knowledge of Christianity for thousands of years.

@@CJBlake-ym6ky Yes indeed, quite a few other regions of the planet had not only no knowledge of Christianity, but also The Hebrew faith that preceded Jesus. They were too busy believing in their own belief systems. Here in the UK, we had various pagan religions, i live 40 mins from the Stonehenge monument in Wiltshire UK, they had a slight advantage, they could actually see their God, The Sun, it gave them warmth and grew their crops.

I wish people would understand that sex is not love. Two homosexual than can love each other in Christianity. In fact, God demands it. However, you don't have to have sex with someone because you love them. I love dozens of people that I've never had sex with. If you wanna make the argument to consenting adults, should be able to have sex in Christianity then make it but stop calling it love.

Believe or else is a game. A game to surrender to claims based off of hearsay evidence of events long before our existence. We hear so much of god's forgiveness, love, mercy & compassion. Yet, someone who truly does not believe will not be shown god's forgiveness, love, mercy & compassion. Instead, a non-christian will be t_rmented for not grasping christianity the way some others do.
