I'm a 70 yo Aussie from Canowindra in NSW, Australia. Had a trailer sailor for a number of years - mainly cruised the inland waterways near Sydney. Also some blue water cruises on bigger yachts in SW Western Australia. I thought my sailing days were over then I discovered Delos. Have loved the videos and all the different crew you've had on board and have particularly enjoyed the two of you and the beautiful little Nugget! Both of you such wonderful parents and Kazza - am amazed at how flat your Mummy tummy is. Brian - love watching you fix stuff and the way you skipper Delos and care for your crew. I'm up to episode 274 - nearly caught up and wish you well with your family on the sea. Keep sailing - love you guys....Namaste

I can relate... flying a drone on a windy day over water (and especially landing it) is nerve wracking! Nobody who watches these beauty shots of boats underway knows how hard they are to film successfully until they've tried it. And sometimes there's no beach you can crash it into as a last resort. Incredible work, Brian!

As a parents of 3 children (6,4 and 1 y/o) who also sail our 38' boat on weekends. My wife and I are amazed at your ability to juggle sailing, filming and parenting. We always find it difficult to juggle sailing and parenting at the same time. If you decide to head into the great lakes, we would love to show you around our part of the world.

Those few minutes of video on the beach with the fire...boy did the whole vibe of the timeline of Delos come through. Been watching for about 5 years now, and have seen all of the videos...but those few minutes...they captured everything. Magic. The old party vibe, many of us remember the beach fires of old...and the transition to the new, family of 3, watching the sunset in a beautiful remote anchorage. I can see why it hit Karen the way it did. It was indeed a moment.

Hey guys, Bahamian from Exuma here. That camp on Buenavista Cay was the home of a Ragged Island man named Edward Lockhart, he rode out Hurricane Irma at the camp alone back in Sept 2017. I'm assuming that he hasn't returned since being rescued off the cay a week after Irma passed. This story did actually get some international attention.

That’s cool. I had to look it up. I was thinking the camp looked much older but I was wrong. Found an article about it thenassauguardian.com/2017/09/13/man-78-survived-irma-alone-on-cay/

He actually did return, he had dinner with us on board, in 2018 he had a stroke and had to leave the island. He still resides in Nassau. He is related to the Lockharts in Duncantown. Excellent video! Watching you use technology to find a safer anchorage alongside all those other boats reminded of something I’ve noticed since I started watching sailing videos- I enjoy watching sailing videos for all the adventures in distant places and to learn about repairs on different systems. Sailors speak of “Untie the lines!” “Off the grid!” “Freedom!” But I see that sooner or later they all need: navigation knowledge, navigation aid, weather reports, music, drinking water, food, medicine, fuel, parts, repairs, places and tools to do repairs, to be rescued when they run into trouble, a way to communicate and internet service to remote work or upload/post their videos so they can continue their lifestyle. I don’t understand how many sailors forget how dependent they are on so many people in civilization to make their lifestyle possible.

Kazza, I love that appreciating the simplicity and beauty of nature can make you a bit teary! I can get that way too when alone in the peacefulness of pristine nature! My first (of many) trips to the Bahamas was in 1968!! (I was 12 yrs old)!!! The Out-Islands are SO MAGICAL, SO SPECIAL< and like the Grenadines SO TURQUOISE! In my opinion, God is the Master artist, he has created SO MUCH beauty for us to take in! And a new and different Sunrise and Sunset each day! I absolutely love sailing around the globe with SV Delos,.. to places I've been, and places I would only hope to get to. (been binge-watching old seasons (and current) during Covid,... ) side note: Pss,..not sure what season Brady made a pasta dish without cooking the pasta first. everyone was so polite to eat the crunchy spaghetti noodles! LOL!!! thought of Brady today and really had to chuckle when my cast-iron skillet Mexican dish had some crunchy Fusilli (spiral noodles) I bit into! THANK YOU to everyone from past and present seasons for making it all possible,. Stay safe with just the three of you now!... and HELLO to Brady and Alex! (It is weird to say you miss someone who you've never met!) God Bless!
