I just turned 29, and I can really feel the impact of this phase in my life. I'm fortunate to have a fiancé who's on the same page as me. We recently moved to a small town in Alberta and are now considering relocating to the woods to embrace a simple, likely childfree, lifestyle.

I hate October until January. I get dragged into Christmas my family force me to participate. I try to enjoy my life and not take things too seriously but the monotony is hard to deal with at times.

This resonates so much, I have a bad habit of thinking more of the commercialisation of the holidays we have all grown accustomed too. So many corporations make so much money and advertising for them seem to over exaggerate the holiday to the point it hurts parents or adults into playing there part. Yes! 💯 subscribed today. thank you thank you I feel less insane now. Over the last few years I have fully felt the depth of despair about this loop, and find myself saying every day there is nothing changing much nothing much out there…. Minus the minimal changes in the internet - our daily lives stay exactly the same as 30 years ago. Nothing changes it just loops and loops. Don’t even get me started on the daily 9-5 loop. I can’t figure out how anyone sees anything in this anymore! I just got done going into detail to my partner how absolutely pointless and looping the holidays are. I can’t do it anymore but if I don’t I won’t be connected to my family / nieces. I can’t even make any regular conversation with regular people anymore because all of it is pointless looping nonsense. I really feel crazy because I have all kinds of spiritual types telling me how much magic and adventure is out there that I can create, no I just see a loop. The only thing I have that is close to interesting is my herbal and plant medicines and how they work and make me feel. And some qigong / Taoist health practices are pretty amazing. But again even that stuff is a loop and hamster wheel basically

We are in some sort of slave concentration camp prison. You can: 1. Bow down to the prison wardens rules and appease them in hopes of some crumbs of leniancy 2. You can fight the prsion wardens rules by any means necessary. 3. You can figure out if theres a way to escape the prison. They are the only options I believe we have, do tell me if I am missing any 🤷‍♂️

Sub'd... I'm on the same page with many of your topics. I lived in Toronto for 30 years and now live about 1.5 hrs away. Times definitely are different and the world has changed not for the better. I contemplate moving out east, or snowbird in a warmer climate but I sometimes feel it's a waste of time, money and probably wouldn't make a difference as far as life being enjoyable. Holiday loops are about making money, just a gimmick and waste of time. I talk to people during Christmas and the level of stress and debt is enormous, how is that enjoyable.

A few years ago I became bored with the commercialisation of holidays. (New year, Valentine day, summer holiday, Halloween, bonfire night, Christmas, repeat). Then you have to do a soul sucking job to pay for it all and appear ‘normal’. I’m bored of the same loop but not sure how to escape.

Hahaha! You're right. You work and save money from January to November. Then, you spend your savings on December because its holidays😂😂😂. After spending your savings on holidays, you work again starting January and the loop repeats again😅😅😅

I wouldn't mind if the holidays were just one day but all of October is dedicated to Halloween. And it seems like the Christmas Holidays start on November 1st and goes on till January. I also have to deal with the fireworks on Guy Fawkes night on November 5 and New Years Eve. I hate fireworks.

Perspective has much to do with it > from afar most blades of grass look the same...or every hand, etc but upon closer inspection (or introspection) nothing is the same, including the cycles You mention. Was just awarded your algorithm and thankful for that... adding new content that resonates helps to break the mundane cycle you're drawing attention to. Another algorithm recently awarded > "Simple Mindful Connected" Channel (yt) > maybe not new to/for You...never know how/what the yt algorithm will present next to each individual > if not familiar with the channel perhaps it will resonate as it has for me...similar to your shared testimony/experience within the 3D Realm. It's called a cultural inculcation, or tradition. It's all fun and games when you're a child, but as you get older you realize that it doesn't really mean anything. Christmas and New Year's don't exist if, for example you're an inhabitant of the Sentinel Islands. It's the same with marriage. People tie the knot because their parents and friends do it, so you're supposed to do it. Like celebrating birthdays, or Christmas. Society manipulates us into following traditions. You know what a "tradition" or custom really is? It's nothing more than dead ancestors asserting their will on the living. Something to think about.
