My idea is that the Blue girl is saving the four characters from different versions of the apocalypse. The serpent that will devour the world (nordic), an army of the undead, and two planets colliding. There is a tone of references, some are to real life figures like basquiat and warhol. The opening is definateley a space odyssey reference. Each character is in some sort of perilous situation and then a blue force appears and seems to imbue them with power or something. Quit a weird mix though, maybe its just the animators interests being reflected. cowboy cthulhu squid and tha space dude who I think is a lost cosmonaut reference. Im not sure who the blue girl is, some cosmic babe idk. maybe its just meant to look cool lol

My interpretation: The Lady of Blue is drawing forth heroes from doomed timelines, for a purpose unknown. The Astronaut sought the Star Dragon to access its eternal library. He searched through the infinite volumes, but even with the knowledge contained, he could not save the earth. Knowing the end was near, he rested at a lake as ash rained down. That is where the Lady of Blue appeared before him. The Cowboy fights against hordes of undead. Although he is skilled, he is no match for their elite. When close to death, he either uses a last resort transformation or is granted power by the Lady of Blue. It is unclear, though the latter is likely due to his change to match her color. The Red Man and The Camera Boy seem to be the last survivors of an apocalyptic event with another on the way. There's a flash of a pile of skulls during their section. That, combined with the ruined landscape, leads me to believe most died in a horrible war. However, it seems that the earth is colliding with another planet. The two seem to be combining their power to cast some sort of spell. This could be the cause of the collision or their attempt to flee from it. Nevertheless, the four are brought before the Lady, and each no doubt accepts her proposal. They arrive at her home dimension, ready for the work that will need to be done.

+piluex2 Yep with the gravity of the earth gone (if it exploded literally) the moon would just move away, if the earth just broke apart the gravitational force would still be there and the orbit of the moon would get rather distorted until the balance returns in theory the moon could even suck in pieces of the earth with its own gravity, basically left over chunks would chunk up to bigger and bigger pieces and some would escape while bigger ones might stay to orbit each other, the moon and whats left of the earth until the debris is all "cleared up" by them either colliding into moon, new big chunk (maybe a new moon) or whats left of old earth and of course some having left the orbit.
