I tend to agree with the jury - he’s seems guilty, but not without reasonable doubt. Such a pity the car wasn’t searched. Such a pity this case was so badly mishandled by those initial investigators.

No law enforcement in US requires 48 hours. Cops say that to avoid the paperwork. You can file a missing person report at anytime. Force the issue if they say you have to wait.
