I cannot imagine the immense amount of agonizing pain these parents faced not knowing what happened to their children yet. The immense amount of anxiety trying to call/text them in vain had to have felt unimaginable. As a parent, you'd of course want a positive outcome but in the back of your mind, you're thinking the worst. Then actually having your worst fears come true would be an absolute nightmare that you'll never wake up from. Nobody wants anything to happen to their precious children let alone something as evil, tragic, and senseless as being gunned down in school where they should be safe. These people lost their lives by the hands of an evil maniac. 15 or not, you know what's right and wrong. At a very young age, you know that murder is one of the worst things a person can morally do. You know the consequences. He didn't care. It was premeditated. He wanted to be prolific. Instead of being a reputable member of society and changing the community that way, he chose to terrorize his community and be known for his evil acts. He gets to spend the rest of his miserable life behind bars. He could have 7+ decades in there depending on his health unless someone kills him off for prison cred. My heart goes out to the victims, their family/friends, and for the survivors.

I just cannot understand why anyone would even contemplate doing something as horrific as this. It causes so much pain and suffering to so many innocent people who are just trying to live their lives. These people will never ever be the same. The damage is irreparable. The shooter, at such a very young age, has nothing but a future of a miserable life in prison with no possibility of parole, ever. No one wins here. So the question remains, WHY?

My heart breaks for these families... these young children that are struggling to get past all this. Unfortunately.... Time is just a word. The Heart is what they have to struggle with every day... every year without their loved one. The Memory & Heart has to fight mentally & emotionally of what they experienced & will have to continue to experience without the loved one... or just the PTSD. Healing is not as easy for those who have literally experienced the horrific day. ****THERE ARE IMPORTANT PEOPLE WHO SHOULD WATCH THESE VICTIM IMPACT STATEMENTS... THE PEOPLE WHO VOTED AGAINST STRICT GUN CONTROL LAWS IN THE HOUSE OF REP... BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T WANT TO HAVE THEIR GUNS TAKEN AWAY**** Yet, I have a strong feeling... what these parents & children have gone through wouldn't give two hoots about their pain or fears that they are facing daily. Why.... because they don't want to lose their financial backing of the company that makes these guns. The Children are in a war zone.... a War against Adults with Greedy Power... Who refuses to pass anything to protect our children's lives. Yet... they still get voted into office, because they have the financial backing of those who make & arm these sick ... demented people with the with these guns & REFUSE to PASS STRICTED NATIONWIDE GUN LAWS!!! The 2nd Amendment needs to be overhauled for one thing. National red flag laws where even at the first sign of distress or possible danger with using them and your gun rights are stripped for life with no 2nd chances AT ALL! And extensive gun safety classes that takes weeks or months to complete, not just a single day. Drastically reducing gun ownership and access, making it far more expensive to the point that even the most responsible gun owners would make them think twice about owning guns at all. Numerous nations like Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Switzerland, Norway, Serbia; etc. have made major changes to their gun laws from tragedies to their countries to make their countries far safer. Others like Japan, South Korea and Singapore virtually ban gun ownership all together and and are the safest countries in the world. They have shown that you can be far safer with far fewer guns. The U.S. should be extremely embarrassed by this

Ethan Crumbley had a plan to hurt people and he carried out his plan and got what he wanted. He does not deserve forgiveness. If I had a child who was killed, I would not/could not forgive the killer. I would try to rebuild my life as best I can, but forgive? No.
