It's so strange to me. From the time I started thinking about the possibility of having sex and the repercussions of possibly getting pregnant, as early as 12 yrs old I had these thoughts... it never occurred to me that at any point would it be acceptable to murder that baby. I instinctively always thought that the baby is a baby and would then be my responsibility and I would have made the choice to have sex and must be responsible for the consequences. It amazing to me that at the time in the late 70s through the early 90s when I gave birth to my sons, parents of the unborn were encouraged to sing, play music, read aloud and in other ways communicate with their child in the uterus. When preemies needed encouragement in their struggle to live, parents were invited to talk and sing to their newborns because the baby would recognize the parents’ voices. Months ago my pastor was happy about the wade v roe turn over, he brought it up in church and everybody clapped as a celebration. Naive me was so offended as I used to have more democrative views. While I'm not an atheist, I'm definitively not a religious person. So far I haven't heard a single solid argument from the prochoice side to change my position that the "procedure" is a deeply unethical action that harms the most vulnerable of human beings. The notion that the feeling of being wanted is the only thing that elevates you from a "clump of cells" to an unborn human is absolutely monstrous. Even if you are not religious, if you believe in the universality, inalienability and inherence of the right to live, that belief is not compatible with the prochoice position.

I don't want to get into any kind of philosophical argument, but your comment caught my attention and I would just add that Christ followers who believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior from their sins and from a Holy God's judgement do not believe in religion and do not follow any teachings from man, but rather follow the teachings of Jesus Christ that are recorded in the Old and New Testament. The Messiah was written of by the prophets in the Old Testament and Jesus of Nazareth was born in Bethlehem and fulfilled all of the prophecies. We follow Jesus the Christ not because of religion but because we have been called "chosen" to follow Him. Religion is man's creation and is all rubbish.
