I have a hack! People will laugh at this, but here goes. My living room is too small for a regular sized sofa to begin with, but I also have kitties with claws who love to rip up furniture, so I don't want to spend money on even a small sofa that will become a scratching post. I decided to go with a twin mattress to make a daybed with. I'm currently too poor to afford a foundation for it, so I did the next best and FREE thing : I went to my local Big Lots and asked them for any milk crates they coukd spare. They gave me 15 of them, which was exactly the amount needed to support the mattress. I covered them in fabric and they are extremely sturdy and have not given way in over two years. I may invest in a foundation at some point, but if you're poor like me, this is a great start.

Just found you today - love your videos. I like poufs: they can can be seating on the balcony (I have an outdoor rug so they don’t get dirty), in front of my old iMac (my TV), extra seating for a guest, a bedside/seating area coffee table replacement (if hard enough that a heavy serving tray stands on it). I also opted for two armchairs instead of a sofa (for now).

Wow! A 500 sq feet studio! Where I live there's no studios with more than 350 sq feet. A 500 one here in Rio would be a 1 bedroom apartment. Mine is a 300 sq feet and it's a struggle.

Haha, Helo is actually really good at keeping herself entertained! Half the time she just wants to be cuddling me, and the other half she wants to be alone. It's a lot easier than I thought it would be! I was always afraid of getting a kitty while living in a small apartment, knowing how big of a responsibility it would be, but honestly... there isn't much to it! Cats are so adaptable, and I think as long as you love them, feed them, and dangle a string in front of them from time to time, they're happy!

its nice but not my taste i felt so much going on .. i need more space to not feel suffocated .. me, hubby and our cat live in a studio for 2 years now .. going to the 3rd and i'm getting really suffocated of it ofc we cant move due to financial things but i'm dying to dividing the seating area off the sleeping area ... still didnt find any good ideas! please anyone can help!
