I see you guys insert a few ttimes the return effects such as reverbs and delays right on the main channel instead of sending them to an FX Channel. Whats your explanation on that since that way you dont have the same amount of control as it would be if you d send them. Second Question: When you send to an FX Channel on your mix, do you send pre or post fader?
@jvanachthoven
@jvanachthoven 4 жыл бұрын
answer to first question: we like to work fast. Insert effects plugins on a return is just because its way more faster. if its disturbing the mixdown we try to change it to a send. But sometimes a send channel just sounds way to 'clinic'. second answer we mostly do use pre fader. but also most send channels also go to a main group channel for the synthesizers. so everything is controlled... 'mostly' :P

Music for non-musicians. I'd respect these guys more if they actually created their sounds instead of downloading samples. Where is the art in that? Yeah yeah -- "it's how you use them." Fuck outta here. It just seems like cheating to me. Taking credit for shit that isn't yours. How about the artists out there making electronic or sample-based music that actually PLAY the fucking instruments > record them > sample their own recordings? Is that too much to ask? It's as if that's so difficult that 99.9999% of electronic "musicians" accept the excuse of that being too tough. What a truly inferior type of music that lacks the depth and artistry of pretty much every other genre, other than top40 pop. I get it, most of you here love it -- I believe you do. I also believe there is such thing as good and bad taste. xo
