I am so glad to have watched this video! I've seen glimpses of these drawing journals in your other videos and I love this! I don't think I've ever seen anything like it! It speaks to me...lol! I really enjoying watching the videos on your channel. Some of them I've watched multiple times! They make me happy!

Yes please....I really enjoy the sketch and paint with me videos...such good info and I am a visual person. You make it so much fun and sharing the "not perfect" results ... in your opinion ( they look great to me) makes it much easier to just jump in and enjoy the process. Thanks Sandi, you are amazing.

Suzanne thank you so much! I'm working on filming another paint with me video this week! Thanks for asking about my mornings in the studio plan and for the most part I have been sticking to that - it's been sooooo helpful and I've actually been more productive in life in general because of it!

I Love sketching since I consider myself an urban sketcher using micron pens, tombows and good watercolors. I am going to try fountain pen next ( on my Christmas list ) lol.

Sandi Hester I miss snail mail - when I was a teen my friends and I would send multi page letters to each other twice a week (even though we saw each other 1-2 times a week 😂 90s life) sometimes one small soda bottles with confetti 🎊. They probably ban that now 😅

Awww I like this one. We must be on the same wavelength because I've also been doing more visual journaling this year--trying to incorporate sketches into records of everyday mements. (Also I love Frannerd too! I see your color homage to her!) Very interesting tip on the watercolor--I'll have to try that out! Also Sandi, what did you use to record your voiceover--the sound quality was great!
@sandihester4 жыл бұрын
Which tip for the watercolor were you referring to? I'm interested to know! Ok, you're not going to believe this but I just used my voice memo thing on my phone! It was better quality than my new camera (I don't like the quality of my mic on my new camera - ugh!). I'm glad you thought the quality was good - I thought it sounded pretty good too but wasn't sure. Thank you for letting me know!

Love your studio! Just a quick question - i might be moving into a new studio where I can’t get paint everywhere as I do in my current one. I noticed that your table, walls, floor etc don’t have much paint on them. Do you have any tips for not getting it everywhere?
@sandihester4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! I do have some recommendations but I personally am not a very messy painter. Every now and then I drop my brush or it goes flying but I do have old floors that I don't mind getting a little paint on. For the floors you could either put a rug down (get inexpensive indoor/outdoor carpet), put cardboard down, or drop cloth. I've seen one artist that was in a situation like you are going to be in, put drop cloth or large pieces of fabric all over the wall - she just hung it I think. You could use push pins and then patch those small holes up when you leave there. If I think of any more ideas I'll let you know. Thanks so much for watching and leaving me a comment!
@tacoman39374 жыл бұрын
Sandi Hester yes that’s a great idea! I use a drop cloth but never thought to put them on the walls. Will do!
