The amount of masking is insane! You are a credit to the hobby, Sir. Excellent job 👍

At the time USS Wayne E. Meyer DDG-108 was commissioned, the Food Network series Dinner Impossible, hosted by chef Robert Irvine, prepared the meals for it's commissioning. I taped that episode for reference whenever I do start building my USS Bainbridge. I had also taped the Discovery series, Mighty Ships episode, that had USS Gravely DDG-107, as well for reference. I also own the complete series of The Last Ship, with the fictional USS Nathan James DDG-151, which is very useful for reference in building a scale model. I even own that 2011 film Battleship, that has USS John Paul Jones DDG-53, though they portrayed it as both a Flight-I, and Flight-IIA, I didn't mind, since I will be building USS Bainbridge as the Flight-IIA. Two great books that will help me prepare in building my Burke, are from Squadron/Signal's book on the Burks, and Warship Pictorial series of that class of destroyer. For my Bainbridge, I will attempt to build the interior of the bridge, and that passage way with the double hatch. Great mastery of this build, take care, and all the best.

This looks absolutely fantastic. I always thought about getting a 1/350 AB, but after seeing this I just feel like I'd be disappointed with my end result :D

Outstanding to watch you spend 6 hours masking the model, but also good to see that even modellers like yourself make mistakes with the paint drying times, it makes me feel better knowing we all make such mistakes sometimes.

Oh, yes..... we make mistakes also!! But important to Practice and Patience!!!

Excellent work! A pity the paint peeled off withe the masking tape, but you fixed it very well. The PE mast looks stunning, well done.

Beautiful work! The amount of details is insane! 👍👍👍 BTW, I don't seem to see the propeller blades.

I could have used your techniques as reference on my DDG Flight I when I started building it 2 years ago. Too bad Pontos didn't have PE kit for the earlier Burke. It looked more detailed. I had to use Lion Roar. I was intimidated when I built the mast, due to its delicacy... but it was the most challenging and most fun part of the build. I was hoping to see you add rigging to the mast. Outstanding work overall. As they say in the Navy, "Bravo Zulu!" (BZ!)

I'm only halfway through this video. I would like to say to seal your paintwork before you mask it off. I think you'll have less trouble with paint pealing that way. I'd even say shoot a layer or two of hairspray if nothing else. That's a lot of damage for all your incredibly hard work there my friend.
