STUFFED PEPPERS IN SAUCE | Slovenian Stuffed Peppers | Filana Paprika ❤️ SK by Michelle

Episode 45: Stuffed Bell Peppers: a classic Slovenian dish. The peppers share the same Basic stuffing/filling as Sarma (cabbage rolls) only these peppers are much easier and quicker to make. Let’s get started!
⬇️⬇️⬇️ Ingredients ⬇️⬇️⬇️
6-8 Bell peppers, cleaned
1 cup diced onions
1/3 cup oil or butter
2-3 minced garlic cloves
*Begin frying the onions & garlic in about 1/3 cup of oil
Ingredients for Sauce
1/3 cup oil
6-7 Tablespoons of All Purpose flour
1 Tablespoon paprika
3 teaspoons of tomato paste
2 litres of boiling water
*Add above fried garlic & onions
*Add favourite spices & seasoning; 1 tsp garlic powder, salt & pepper to taste
Meat stuffing/filling
1 pound ground pork
1 pound ground beef
2 cups partially cooked arborio rice
2 eggs
3 Tablespoons fried onions
1 tsp fried garlic
1 tsp paprika
salt & pepper to taste
* Stuff peppers with meat mixture
*Add stuffed peppers to sauce and cook on low for about 45 minutes to 1 hour
* Serve over a mashed potatoes
