I feel that middle bit one BILLION percent, Ben. Stuffing is in the top 3 of my favorite foods, uncontested for basically ever, but I can't bring myself to eat it any other time of year because I'm afraid if I open those floodgates, I'll start to lose some of that magical euphoria and annual excitement. It's somehow _too_ good to just eat all the time.

A tip for making your stuffing taste 10x better: take the butter the box calls for and melt it in your pot, then sauté chopped onions and celery in the butter. This will add a ton of flavor I promise!

I love stuffing, it's pretty common here in the UK, a lot of people have it with their Sunday roast dinner, as well as Christmas dinner of course. However we only seem to have such tiny portions! I think the most stuffing I have ever eaten at once is like 3 small balls of it, whyyyy! Your portion looks amazing man although it looks a lot wetter and stodgier than what we have
@medina49262 жыл бұрын
Agreed, we also tend to have pit stuffing more on the crispy side. Well i do and a lot of people i know. In my opinion it’s so much better more crispy then soggy

Coming from a “jewish” fam (not even remotely serious about it” We never had - mashed taters - green beans - mac n cheese Why..? I dont know. But never. As a kid we never did thanksgiving. Until I was at least 8 yrs old My mother was taught cooking by my Depression Grandma’s Era menu. Simple. Cheap. But great - Chicken soup - kasha w farfalle (bowties) pasta - blintzes (blueberry or cheese) - latkes (#teamsourcream!) - stuffed bell peppers - stuffed cabbage (w ???) Then bc my parents were born n raised in Brooklyn they had fhenwhole culinary world to live in They went to Chinatown allllll the time They acrually used to drive ud as kids the 180:miles roumd trip when we were young go experience REAL cantonese NYC places. I appreciated that now. Its so weird being thrown back n forth tomdiff cutlures n food and life. Ben you have done an amazing thing with resoecfing and representing all of the aspects of all of your experiences and background amd upbringing. Showing respect and luv for all of the amaxing cultures and cuisines and tradititions youve experienced. Such a nice tribute Happy holidays! Thanks for sharing with usm🎉🥂🥰

If it’s not stuffed in the Turkey as it cooks it’s not stuffing. But this will do in a pinch if you have sone brown Turkey gravy to put on top to give it the right moisture and consistency. This is a 4/10, with gravy 6/10, cooked in Turkey with giblets 12/10!

So Ben, are you goin’ to Scarborough Fair? Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme? Stove Top got no time for thyme. Barely for rosemary since they only used the extract on the bottom of the list of ingredients. All they had to do is put in a single drop to call it an ingredient. Guessing your parents were diggin’ on Simon and Garfunkel and you heard it on the record player. Gotcha! Btw I like it too. Being from the south we like the cornbread one best!

I like garlic Parmesan, lemon pepper, and chili powder. Mix that in the stuffing and melt some cheese you like in there and bam there u have it!
