Ah, come on now…… indeed. I wonder where this was filmed. The trees are majestic. I am so glad the Mission Control center shoved the bird slider up in the beginning. 🦜. Like you mentioned, this does bring me back to school. We did the clapping rhymes. Interesting that this is something found around the world. I love this one. I like it when they have solos, of course. But, I also like this. All of them in unison. Their beautiful oooo’s. Now I want to go back and really try to hear each of them individually. I am surprised that no one mentioned this but Matt was chosen by Avi to replace him. Matt has been getting better and better and is truly talented himself. I would love to see them do something together. My best wish would be to see them do a concert to raise money for and with the kids from A cappella Academy, Avi, Ben Brahm and Rob Dietz co-founded it. PTX used to do them with them, but not since Avi left. It truly would be an amazing gift to everyone. Thank you so much for doing these, and hey, sing anytime and bring your cats! You are very talented also!

They had Avi for so long, their harmonies just seemed so natural. Matt is wonderful. I was resistant in the beginning, but the more they do together the more natural they sound. It always takes some time to adjust to major changes, and this was the same. He has such a rich voice, it's hard to resist him when he feels comfortable

Avi did NOT choose Matt to replace him. That's an urban legend that had been debunked by producer Ben Bram as well as Mitch and Scott. After Avi announced he was leaving, Ben hired a talent scout to seek a new bass singer. The scout did not tell the singers what they were auditioning for. After most of the process had taken place, Matt was one of the finalists and at that point he was told he was auditioning for Pentatonix...so he ended up learning the bass parts for every song they had recorded to that point. By the time he actually auditioned in front of the group, Avi was already long gone. All Avi did was say on social media that he thought they had made the right choice. Also, after Avi left (amicable at first), the lawyers got involved and things got nasty. Avi has remained friendly with Kevin, but no longer has any relationship whatsoever with the others. There have been a lot of hard feelings on both sides and I don't believe any type of reunion will ever happen at this point unless a lot of fence mending takes place beforehand.

Cierra did something like this in High School. Of course, I had to help her practice. As Cierra said, "Mom, you are no help." That is hard to do, let me tell ya. I'd second guess the moves every time. (Cierra ended up nailing it, though) Such a horribly sad song, but they made it too-too fun. "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas." If that choreography video is the one I'm thinking of, it shows them rehearsing it and a some of the bloopers are hilarious...especially when they are doing the high fives. Wow, wow, wow! I had never seen this before and I just love it! So simple, but the hands providing the percussion and the constant harmonies with no focus on individuals was perfect for the setting and for the approach to the song. It is so much fun to watch your face as you hear Pentatonix Christmas songs for the first time knowing how I felt the first time I listened to them. I still am delighted each time. I listen to several of them all year round because they are soul satisfying. I like listening for each part and learning them. Oh! If you are into acapella groups, Home Free is a Country group who, like Pentatonix, are a cover group. Avi even makes a guest appearance in a few of their songs! Avi has such a deep bass voice and so does Tim Foust from Home Free. They also have some great Christmas music and hymns too in addition to their general music. They also have an incredible ability to take songs from different genres of music and give them a country spin. Even if you’re not a fan of country music, it is still amazing to enjoy their harmonies in their hymns and Christmas music. Give ‘em a try!

I'm a bassy girl. And to me, a lot of bass singers sound the same (& I like them all)...BUT Avriel... There is something magical about that boy and his tone. If I had to put it in words (and they are lacking) They would be... Velvety, satiny silk like creamy smoothness. Like the best dark chocolate velvety cream sauce for your ears. EDIT: I know I have said this somewhere before and I also know you are getting a lot of requests for it but when I say that PTX and their new version of “Oh Holy Night” is SO GREAT (sorry shouty) that is like the understatement of 2023?!?! They have been singing on another level, it isn’t just me who is saying it?!?! I have been thinking about this and you know what has changed?!?! On “Oh Holy Night” and “Kissed by a Rose” Matt has actually had solo moments of singing but also his bass game is extra strong? He isn’t just doing bahh, bums he is actually singing in harmony a whole lot more and I think that is the difference?!?! It is the only noticeable change and yet the impact is dramatic. Plus I think they are all sitting together in a really great place?!?! 🤔 Their age and experience plays a big part. But Matt?!?! Wowzers, I cannot wait for you to react to it. I was thinking 3 months was a bit much for a follow up for low iron, I mean that is a lot of time to feel the way low iron makes you feel without doing something and yet there we all were?!?! 🤷🏼‍♀️ As he was leaving he said, tell Annie I said hello and Happy New Year. Oh you bet I will doc?!?! 😬 Tara went with me and we left AB with your woman Annie 🤡 and Evil Bro #2 😈 and his wife who decided to visit today. He called last night? This is the way he is, you don’t think you will see him and then suddenly there he is. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Tomorrow (Friday) is AB’s birthday 🥳 so we had to get some stuff from where? Yup you guessed it, Walmart. I don't THINK Avi has performed with Ptx w/ Matt, but I would absolutely love that! And wouldn't it be cool to see just Avi & Matt do a song together??!! After Avi left, the lawyers got involved and things got pretty nasty. There were bad feeling on both sides as a result. Avi and Kevin remain good friends, but Avi has no relationship at all with the others at this point. Unless something drastically changes, I don't think there will be any happy reunions anytime soon.

Pentatonix has 3 grammies and Avi has all 3 of them. As to returning for an appearance you might get him for a charity event. I have heard other people report though that Avi said he was prevented from publishing any new music of his own for a full year from the time he left among other things he lost including songs he had written. That would be hard to forgive if true.

@@fmcm7715 I think it went both ways. Initially his departure was amicable, but then the lawyers got involved and things got nasty for sure. Feelings were hurt on both sides. Avi remains close with Kevin, but apparently has no relationship at all with the others now. I don't think any reunions are in the future.
