The 4 camera's I use to produce my outdoor footage, are so called PTZ - P(an) T(ilt) Z(oom). Zoom, I only use on the rear camera, when I am underway. As you have seen I use the pan and tilt a lot. And in the dark they produce a great (short view) infrared image. I even can navigate in a marina at night on my cams.
Since they all are so called "IP camera's", each have an unique (hardwired) IP address (no DNS) in my network.

This channel follows a format: "Join Henk-Jan, whilst he cruises on motorvessel Lady Liselot through The Netherlands and a little further". That's it. This automatically means: no boat tour and no boat jobs. These subjects do not fit the format. So, I aim to give you a feel for what life's like aboard for me and hope you enjoy it, perhaps relate to it or maybe even learn something. But it's simply my story and the way I do things. Nothing more, nothing less.

Waarom ik alles in het Engels doe?
Omdat ik video's kijk van Fransen, Denen, Noren, Spanjaarden, Portugezen, Duitsers én heel veel Engelstaligen die allemaal Engels lullen en ook bootjesmensen / liveaboards zijn. Want alleen dan kan je je ervaring wereldwijd delen. En wat blijkt? Mijn video's worden in 127 landen bekeken (zie S03/E01 voor de lijst). Veel van mijn kijkers en abonnees zijn Engelstaligen die mijn video's helemaal top vinden, omdat ze óf familie hebben uit Nederland, of hier jaren geleden zijn geboren en door omstandigheden nu elders op de wereld wonen. En, dat ik dan Engels spreek met een accentje (net als de Fransen, Denen, Noren, Spanjaarden, Portugezen, Duitsers overigens) dan interesseert hen dat helemaal niets.
Weet je dat Nederlandse ondertiteling aan kan zetten? Doorgaans zo'n 4 uur nadat de video is gepubliceerd. Klik op de video, en kies uit de iconen die rechtsonder verschijnen dan voor [ondertiteling] en kies daar voor Nederlands. Dan wordt zelfs mijn steenkolen Engels (knap he van die jongens en meisjes KZbin) vertaald naar Nederlandsch.

I started this episode at 10:18 (coffee time). Perfect reminder for my childhood. Vacation in Zeeland/Veerse Meer. I learned sailing on a dinghy. Walked through Veere. So nice. Definitely I will come back again but with my boat. It is always begging to visit its homeland. Dear Henk-Jan, so nice as always. Btw: Are you employed at Dutch Office for Tourism?

Hi Henk, I had a similar mysterious sound on my boat and it was the shaft coupling with the CV joint. Not sure if you have a CV joint . it's job is to give a better shaft angle. Hoi Henk, Het was weer gezellig deze tocht van Goes richting Veerse meer. Leek mij een leuk haventje van Veere zelf, maar ook op z'n eilandje lijkt mij erg mooi tot volgende week

;-) I have footage on the SSD for at least a year. So I will not mention the date anymore, or I lie to you "Hello, last week I visited... and here is the video!" then everybody thinks the footage is fresh.

Yes, us Dutchies are lucky with a beautiful country. I like to share that. We come to Der Schwiez für Schifahren im Winter, and many of us to walk the mountains. I stick to water, oke?

Hoi HJ, van de geliefde Lady, Zou het jou niet lukken meer real life video's te posten? Wij zitten nu iedere keer te kijken naar materiaal van een jaar oud. Volgens mij geeft het meerwaarde als je probeert te laten zien wat je de afgelopen week hebt beleefd. No pressure! En groeten van een fan, Mark

Als ik niet zo vertellen wanneer ik deze video's heb geschoten, zou je het niet weten. Ik zal voortaan beginnen met: "Van de week heb ik weer een leuke tocht gemaakt...". Een videotje zoals deze kost (09:00-22:30 = 13,5 uur + 16:00-22:30=7,5 uur , al met al dus 21 uur editen. Per week. Dan houd ik geen tijd over om te varen en te werken.

Hoi Henk, I heard some place that dutch home owners who don’t keep their yards spotless clean and beautiful or ship owners who don‘t keep up with the cosmetic spotless appearance of their boats can become expatriated! Looking at your railings I‘m getting worried about you. Some places there is even moss starting to grow!😉🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Correct. I am more of an user than a polisher. Since I live and work aboard, I just have some time to spend cleaning of enjoying the sun and scenery. I prefer the latter.
