Agreed, the stunt work is art! Like I get the concern that people _might_ be less safe for the hopes of an award, but I feel they could specify being unnecessarily unsafe won’t give them better chances or something?

Aaron is totally right when he says stunt performer. That is why these guys need their own Oscar category. They are literally putting themselves in positions actors don’t have to anymore.
@NobleSix_97
@NobleSix_97 3 жыл бұрын
That's also why they don't have stunts as a category in the Oscars. It's different when actors are competing for an Oscar because they're not risking their lives. If stunt performers did that, there would be a competition to see who could do the craziest/ most insane stunts leading to more injuries and in worst cases even deaths. As much is I'd like to see stunt performers get the recognition they deserve, I'd have to agree with the not having stunts as a category for the safety of the performers.

A couple of suggestions: 1. Get Zoe Bell on the couch. Besides being an absolute legend of a stunt performer, I’d love to hear her take on the Death Proof car chase sequence. 2. How about a Cinematographers React series? The role of a DP and their impact on a film is so vital, and I think more people should know what the job entails. Thanks for all the great videos. I look forward to them each week. Cheers

@Brook11223
@Brook11223 3 жыл бұрын
@doggo Yup they were. One of the stunt doubles was Jackson Spidell who is Keanu Reeves stunt double in the John Wick series part of the 87 Eleven. They are all part of the 87 eleven stunt team I think. Heidi Moneymaker was also one of the super soldiers in that Flashback sequence and appeared as a Hydra agent in The Winter Soldier during the New Jersey Mall scene for a split second. She also appeared in John Wick Chapter 2 as the violin assassin as she fight's Reeves in the subway hall sequence.
