She was able to piece together at the end that she is just paranoid. She should definitely get help before her paranoia gets worse. When I was younger I exhibited some severe paranoia and had actual OCD, not like the pricks who are really clean and call that OCD, but like every time I left the house I checked my doorknob a good 4 or 5 times, started to drive to work, turned around because I didnt believe myself that the door was locked and checked it again a few times, then finally left to work. This along with other things had me worried that I had early stages of schizophrenia, turns out it was OCD and anxiety. Meds were a bandaid until I learnt the buddhist practice of mindfulness which completely cured my OCD and anxiety. What Im getting at is she needs to see a doctor, it could be a number of mental health conditions, and her final awareness of the problem is telling that it could be a number of things. Hell just smoking crack or doing hard amphetamines could cause this type of paranoia. Im a firm believer that for most meds should be temporary and you can fix mental illness by staying aware in the present moment.
