thesilverw0lf It's not about what you can see, it's about what you can make others see. Giving quick warnings to the pillocks buggering about on the field on immediate dangers can be extremely useful. It applies to most online games, especially ones like CS and TF2 (Battlefield added spotting to encourage this). It's also not the fact that you might lose because of the lack of cooperation, but it's incredibly frustrating seeing a team mate of yours getting snuck-upon or not knowing where their sniper positions are and dying because you knew where they were but couldn't or didn't tell them. What the video illustrates really well is the chat. You can either minimize the amount of words you use to save some typing time or give them as much info as you can, but usually way too late. It's the speed and efficiency that makes mic so convenient, not that people would listen to you in the first place. The people who don't listen to the comms rarely read the chat too, so they're a lost cause. Just a heads up, if you're in a server where talking to your team is the same as talking to a wall, you might want to find another server.
