I have a Style Theory Suggestion! So, you know that scene in "The Incredibles" where Edna Mode is showing Helen Parr the new costumes she made for the Parr family? What would be the closest real-world equivalents of the materials used in those costumes to make them behave the way they're seen in the film?

13:19 I worked in a movie theater in New York City that the lobby was an old vaudeville theater. One day during work I overheard a tour that walked in and found out that all the women on our ceiling were the same man in various drag outfits. He was the lead performer. They actually moved the building across NYC and it was the largest building in New York (if not the entire United States, but I don't actually remember) to ever be moved. It's the three lettered movie theater in Times Square if you ever want to see an absolutely beautiful vaudeville Era theater. I actually believe one of the photos in an earlier portion of the video was the theater before it became the lobby of a movie theater. But the architecture and art is gorgeous.

This episode is so funny, because its a massive history lesson in between the times MatPat was fangirling over drag queens, and I am 100% here for it 😂🥰

bro that “genuine apology” was deleted. That’s a take back. So he took back an apology FOR BEING A PREDATOR!!

I like that MatPat used FuhNaff’s “need more proof” in this video

with all the james charles puff pieces coming out, lying about his grooming allegations and using it to advertise his next cash grab, i am so tired of hearing about this man lol. im VERY glad this video wasn’t as focused on him as much as i expected, i honestly think it’d be better without him and was more focused on drag without tying it to a creep
@baronessunicorn8208 Жыл бұрын
Still sucks that his child-grooming was minimized to "controversies" and his disgusting face is in the thumbnail.
@sera.tonin. Жыл бұрын
@@baronessunicorn8208it sucks because i thought the majority of the video was amazing and informative!! but tying an actual alleged predator to a video about drag queens (historically falsely accused of being predators) just leaves a bad taste in my mouth :( it feels like they didn’t think a drag video would get any clicks so they just slapped james on there to make it more “relevant”
@baronessunicorn8208 Жыл бұрын
@@sera.tonin. I feel the same. If the video was just been about drag makeup history, I'd love it, but starting it out by minimizing grooming undermines the entire thing. It's really disappointing.

For Halloween this year you could do a style theory about why kids wear costumes on Halloween specifically

I HAVE A STYLE THEORY! Which type of Loofah is best? Sponge? Synthetic fiber ones? A normal washcloth? Or are your hands the best? Which one produces the most suds? Which one removes the most dirt and dead skin cells? Which one is best for sensitive skin or sunburns? Or is it better to just use the soap directly on your skin.

Theory idea! What is the best looking and most useful outfit for any apocalypse?
@BLET_55artem55 Жыл бұрын
Depends on the apocalypse. Cold? Fur Coats, Antarctic vacuum clothes. Heat? Underwear/no wear. Zombie? Medieval single-plated armour (it's surprisingly light and agile, but requires a lot of care) or something that is generally hard to get through with fists and teeth + gas mask/hazmat overhaul just in case. Military? Full Camo with armour plating depending on the region you are. Nuke Fallout? Depends on the climate you end up staying at + hazmat just in case. Alien invasion? Well... whatever works the best. Solar Collapse (anything that destroys the planet)? Accept your fate

As a Drag King, I really love this episode. I am always delighted with how makeup can transform. For my own art, I have found that the more “realistic” looks I try for,the more challenging the illusion . When I’m doing something less realistic like Dexter’s Laboratory, it’s way easier

My husband recently began experimenting with my make up and I could not be happier to see him exploring fun looks to express himself with. I appreciate videos like this that showcase the artistic, and harmless, influence of drag in culture.

Why is James Charles selling paint? Your question should be why isn’t he in jail yet after being accused by multiple minors

I love how you've been watching a lot of FuNaff's Theories enough that I heard a slip of "need more proof?" in here. XD Gotta love how either unintentional or intentional shout out to John over at FuNaff. I don't know who coined it first, but my brain goes to John or at least that it's his catch phrase he uses in his videos. Loving it though. I don't consider it copycatting as a form of flattery as typically if a person carries on another person's possible thing it's because you like it in some shape or form. But instead of rambling, here's a like because loving the video and learning so much along the way with your videos.

I don’t do makeup often but the bold, bright and fun colors make me very happy. I love to experiment with eyeshadows. And paint like this would actually be helpful for me cause I also like to do shapes like hearts on the sides of my face. Makeup art is so fun. I definitely can't do those mermaid looks, but as someone who also like the decora kei and haraijuku fashion styles, bright and fun colors literally feels like a serotonin boast for me.
